Roma Rentals SPQR Meeting Place

Rented an apartment through Roma Rentals from Jan-May 2012.The apartment was good and the landlord was very nice, but our dealings with the agency's offices in Rome and San Diego were questionable. For instance, the agent who showed us our apartment in Rome told us that parking for my roommate's car on the river (LungoTevere) is free. It is definitely not free, but my roommate didn't learn this until she had to park there! She ended up not being able to bring her car at all-- very frustrating. As the agent had been living in Rome for five years (and in that specific neighborhood, no less), I highly doubt this was a simple mistake. He was just eager to rent the place.Also, they charge an agent's fee that is very high and adds considerably to the total cost.Lastly, my roommate had to hassle the San Diego office to no end to get our security deposit back. They will not refund you unless you barrage them. Instead of getting it back in one week as promised, it took at least a month and a half. Completely unacceptable.Just publishing this so that anyone who's new in Rome might know what they're getting into. All in all, I wouldn't recommend them.

I rented an apartment a year ago for 4 months and was very happy with RomaRentals. When I chose to move permanently to Roma I used them again. The apartment I had rented sold one week before I arrived and so ended up in a not ideal situation but still a very nice apartment. For months I have had a great relationship with them. With the exchange rate I have realized that I need to downsize and find a lower rent. When I started asking about a lower priced apartment the communication became less frequent or helpful. I was given several options & addresses to check out myself. One agent quoted me a price and another agent quoted me a price 100-209 euros higher than the first agent. Now that rhey know I am looking at other options, they have become increasingly unavailable and rude. I am so disappointed. If they had just been honest and forthcoming I would not have sought out other options. I am very hurt & disappointed with this experience

Excellent service and quality apartments. The staff is very friendly and they work quickly to accommodate any needs or alleviate any issues. The apartments are top notch with all the necessary amenities and are in great locations/buildings. Would highly recommend for all your Rome stays, whether short or long.

Our Roma Rentals experience was absolutely seamless! We arrived in Rome and had no place to live but with the help of our agent Carol we were able to move in to our very own apartment just 3 days later! Not only did we have a great experience moving in but Roma Rentals made up feel so welcome while going through the process and well after moving in. The apartment was tidy and everything was brand new! We had everything we needed to live comfortably and with style! We would never hesitate to contact Roma Rentals if there was ever a maintenance issue and within 24 hours the problem was always solved. We would definitely use Roma Rentals again in the future and would love recommend it to anyone moving or living in Rome!

Used Roma Rentals for my son's university term in Rome.>> His review:I used the Roma Rentals agency to rent an apartment in Trastevere for 3 months for school studies abroad.My overall experience was positive.The apartment was located within a short walking distance of my school.And the quality of space was comfortable for living and ideal for working.The people who work at the agency were very friendly and helpful to when I was still adjusting to life in Rome.Roma Rentals also provided cleaning and transportation services which were convenient during my busy schedule.One draw back was the cost of living.An average place costs upwards of 1500 EUR a month.I believe not every student who studies abroad may be able to afford some the apartments they offer.However given the cost, I feel the quality of space and services do make up for some of that value for a short stay.I would recommend Roma Rentals to anyone looking to stay in Trastevere for a few months, whether you are a student or not.

I moved to Rome after selling my house in North Carolina and was very fortunate to find RomaRentals. They found an apartment for me in Trastevere and then another a year later. When a water pipe burst in the middle of the night and flooded the bathroom and bedroom, they put me up in another apartment and gave me a refund. But the great thing about RomaRentals is the attentive and friendly service. Carol the owner is a gift from the gods, as is Chiara her Italian lawyer and assistant. Kyle has moved back to the States but you can be assured of the highest level of personal service. RomaRentals will take care of you so you don't have to deal with the Italian bureaucracy! Plus the apartments are really nice, well maintained, and centrally located. Not only will you find a great place to stay but in the meeting place you will make new friends...plus Carol throws wonderful holiday parties for her clients! Top rate in every way!

We worked with Roma Rentals SPQR (Carolina and Charlie) for a short-term rental on our family’s vacation to Rome. They were incredible and treated us like family for our entire stay. They helped us get settled and carried our bags in, gave us helpful suggestions, and even got us an air conditioner to deal with the heat. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Kyle, Sinead and the entire staff at Roma Rentals has made my wife's and my stay in Rome so much more enjoyable. Knowing that we have quick, responsive support for any of our needs around our apartment makes living in a foreign country easier. We moved to Rome knowing no one and also not knowing where to find anything, like a dentist, doctor, good bank, etc. Roma Rentals no only found us an attractive and comfortable apartment in a prime location, but they were indispensable in helping us to get settled in ways beyond the ability to describe in the space available here. They have an office where you can drop in with all your questions, and the reception is always friendly. It may sound like hyperbole, but I truly have never had better service from any organization anywhere. Such nice people! They are extremely thoughtful and welcoming, even organizing parties where tenants and landlords come together. The few times the sink got stopped up or something like that, there was a serviceman at the door the next day. This company is honest and reliable, and I highly recommend them.
