Non locals - please make sure to triple check the receipt, and try not to fall for their “friendliness.” Here’s why:The experience at first was pleasant. We were greeted with smiles and compliments for our children, were asked where we’re staying. They even waved us good bye as we walked towards the car.We selected approximately 10 items and were surprised when we were charged EUR 75,00.After checking the receipt we noticed that the clerk had placed all vegetables in the same bag, and weighed them all together with a 6 EUR kilo price, regardless of the items. A couple of potatoes, apples, onions totalled 18 euros. They also charged us 14 euros for 3 mushrooms, so 4.60 per mushroom. One we could not eat because it was infested with maggots (I’ll save you the photo). And 8 euros for a few slices of salami.We feel taken advantage of and wished to be treated fairly.Sadly we lost the positive impression we had entering the shop. In hindsight, the friendliness now appears acted out, and less genuine.We are also now more aware when buying in mini markets and local shops.
