DON'T RENT WITH THIS COMPANYWe rented a small car for two weeks, when we picked the car up it was dirty and with service notifications (that was not the main problem but was part of it).We drove to Florence and everything was fine, we parked and spent the day there, when we got back we noticed a flat tire (maybe a screw or something) so we called the number in the contract so that a tow truck picked the car up, about 30 minutes later we got a call and they told us that there were no tow trucks so we were on our own (literally said by them). We tried fixing the tire but there were no tools so we could do nothing.We took a train back to lucca and left the car parked in Florence (in the train station... so every minute that passed the parking was costing us) we went back to avis and gave them the keys because they told us they would send someone to Florence to look at the problem.Today we call them and they tell us that we're going to pay for the tire (which is ok) and that we still have to pay for the car (which we don't have and they won't give us a replacement).Yes, the flat tire could be our fault but the car was in bad conditions and without the minimum tools to fix/change the tire, plus they were unable to send the tow truck.Pictures show the car with the flat tire and the damages that it already had (photos in sunlight were taken in avis when we picked it up).Use another company.UPDATE: the car is repaired and they told us we can pick it up but still have to pay for the 4 days it was stopped, if the car had the tools or a tow truck was available at the moment we would accept this, but it's not the case.

BEWARE if you are not familiar with the Italian operations of renting a car. We have used Sixth with no issue, and Avis in the US. Avis charged us an addition day (over $100) because the drop location of Lucca was closed for lunch, even though we had the car back on time and sat in the lot waiting. They didn’t even mention it, I caught it on the receipt. Then when they would not remove the extra day, I asked for the car for the full day, which would have been about 23.5 more hours, and they refused.
