Trattoria La Battigia

The location in google maps is all wrong. This is place sited in the main harbour. Once we had finally figured that out, we found a very pleasant seafront restaurant with a traditional Sicilian menu. Service was attentive and we did not have to wait too long.While it was not on the menu, I asked for and received my first ever fish couscous, which was tasty in a rustic way. It came with additional fish sauce as a side. As this was my first one, I have nothing to compare to. Though I think I expected something a bit spicier given the North African influence.Good house red.This part of the world north of Acireale is a bit devoid of good places to eat so if you are staying in the vicinity, this may be your best bet.

Ottimi antipasti di pesce. I fritti possono migliorare.In ogni caso, mettetevi seduti e fatevi servire.
