Bike Florence&Tuscany

We can't recommend Bike Florence and Tuscany highly enough! Everyone in our family- two adults and four teenagers- had a wonderful time biking, exploring, and learning about the Tuscan countryside under Piero's guidance. The day was full but not overly scheduled; we had everything that we needed to make the biking portion of our day a success- from water to snacks to well-maintained bikes. Piero offered lots of helpful information, recommendations, and guidance to maximize our time in the small towns that we had an opportunity to visit along the way. When we find ourselves back in Florence, we will definitely book another tour with Elena and Piero. Grazie mille!

Over the years, Florence has become my second home - and Elena and Piero of Bike Florence and Tuscany have become my second family! Every visit to Florence must always include at least one biking tour with this wonderful company, and this time it was my pleasure to do their wonderful ‘Crossing Chianti to Siena’. Medieval villages, breathtaking scenery, and wine tasting in the midst of the famous Chianti region - this is what we dream of when we think about biking in Tuscany! And to end in Siena - a jewel in the crown of Tuscany - is just the perfect end to an incredible day, with time to explore this breathtaking city. And as always, this was a five star experience from start to finish - a meeting point that is easy to find; a super comfortable van to whisk us off to the starting point; state of the art bicycles and a flawless itinerary. Nothing is too much trouble for Elena and Piero, including water, snacks, maps to explore Siena and recommendations not just for the day but for the remainder of your time in Florence . Ours was a super small group, which you are always guaranteed with this wonderful, family run company. I have lost count of the tours I have done with Elena and Piero over the years but I can guarantee that you will never want this day to end. Stop reading reviews and just book now! We cannot recommend Bike Tuscany and Florence highly enough! We had an amazing family-friendly day riding through the gravel roads between San Gimignano and Monteriggioni with four adults, a 4.5 year old and a 1.5 year old. We didn’t think we’d be able to see the Tuscan countryside on bikes with two little ones in tow but Pierro made it such a fun and smooth day leading us in his support van throughout the ride. We got to see so much in one day including a walk through of San Gimignano and a delicious lunch in Monteriggioni. Our 4.5 year old and 1.5 year old were well looked after and able to feel part of it all - we could attach a smaller bike to the back of one of our adult bikes for our 4.5 year old and our 1.5 year old had a baby seat on the back of another bike. If the kids/adults got tired we were able to easily ride in the support van for portions of the journey. Pierro was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area, sharing local insights as we drove/rode. We were running a bit late in the morning to meet him and he was patient and gracious. It was great to meet Pierro and spend the day with him touring through a bit of Tuscany.If you are looking for a great way to spend a day in Tuscany with your kids, do not hesitate to book a tour!

My wife and I got to do the bike trip crossing Chianti to Siena. What an amazing experience. Piero was our guide. We drove out first to a small town where we had some coffee and a walk through the town. We then drove a little further to begin the biking portion of the tour. The views are amazing. Along the bike drive we stopped at a local vineyard for wine tasting as well as olive oil and balsamic vinegar. They showed us the wine cellars where the wine is stored in the tanks as well as the oak barrels. From there we continued biking to Siena. We got to walk around Siena and found a place for lunch. From there we were taken by van back to Florence. Most of the biking is downhill and they offer electric bikes as an option.

We had a fantastic sunny day biking in the Tuscany countryside. The bikes were in excellent condition but what made the tour extra special was Elena’s wonderful presence. From driving the shuttle, leading the tour group with the shuttle, and providing such energetic commentary about her love for Italy. She was the star. I would definitely recommend this tour.

This was best addition to my travels in Tuscany! Great services and it was obvious that Elena and Piero had carefully selected a trail that was perfect for bikers (hardly any cars!) It was a lovely experience - and I am very pleased I choose to do this with my teenage niece -- who raved about how much fun she had.

We had the BEST time! Piero was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed spending the day with him so much! The ride was breathtaking and such a unique way to explore beautiful scenery. This is the best thing we have done on our trip and we cannot recommend enough! I cannot imagine a better tour.

My active family thoroughly enjoyed our day-long bike trip with Piero. The bikes were in wonderful condition, and Piero was a great guide. Touring the Tuscan countryside by bike has been a dream of mine, and the gelato and wine tasting were also fun. I highly recommend this tour!
