Casa del Colle
Semplicemente fantastica. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Casa del Colle
We had a wonderful family holiday at Casa del College. Relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. The kitchen is well laid out and a pleasure to cook in. The pool is lovely to swim in, especially with the views. Went with a 7 month old and it was made very easy by the consideration of the owners. Couldn't recommend enough

I'm not usually one for writing reviews but this house is truly stunning I just had to share our experience! Marion and Steve, the owners, have thought about every little detail. We were a large group and there was certainly enough space for everyone. The bedrooms all have very comfortable beds with high quality white linen. We loved the fact that all the windows and doors have Mosquito screens you can pull across so there was no risk of being bitten at night! There was a lovely breeze and we all slept very well without the need to use the fans (which were in each bedroom). All the rooms were equipped with everything you could need - mirrors, chest of drawers, hair dryers etc. The main bathroom is incredible with a huge rainfall shower in a double height space. We felt like we were staying in a 5* luxury hotel with the huge fluffy white towels (extra towels were provided for the pool). The living space suited us perfectly with a huge living, dining and kitchen area. There is another large reception room which we hardly used but I can imagine if you were coming during the cooler months you could enjoy another reception space and both areas had fires for the winter (not that we got to try them out in August!). The kitchen had everything you could need and more. It is clear the owners enjoy cooking! So often villas are not equipped to actually cook in but we had great enjoyment using this kitchen - sharp knives, a large caffatiere, loads of good quality pots and pans and even a microwave for those who are less keen on cooking! We enjoyed some amazing meals out during our stay but equally enjoyed cooking in the villa and sitting on the large terrace with the most spectacular panoramic view. There was everything you could need for young children including two stokke high chairs, cot, travel cot, and even a pushchair, if you haven't brought your own. There were toys for the children to play with in the pool and we bought some extra ones in the local supermarket which were a great hit. There was a good selection of board games and DVDs for some evening entertainment. The games room in the basement was a very popular evening location with many a game of pool and table football being had!The pool area was great with a large structure which provided shade throughout the day. There were loads of (really comfy) sun-loungers and reclining chairs around the pool - my husband took quite fancy to the rocking sun lounger and it was hard to get him out of it! I particularly enjoyed the outdoor sofa area were we enjoyed having an early evening wine and nibbles. The pool is a great size with plenty of space for those who want to play on inflatables or those of us who need to do a few lengths to work off all the amazing food. The spa jets in the steps were a lovely added bit of luxury as was the water fountain which was great on the back! The local area has loads to offer and We enjoyed a few trips out during our stay (when we could drag ourselves away from the pool!). A trip up to Campo Impratore is a must and a great place to go for some cooler weather on a hot day. We have developed quite a taste for arrosticini. Penne is a lovely little town and we enjoyed several visits to the many lovely little bars for a morning coffee and pastry or an evening beer with snacks. On recommendation we ate in the restaurant in Piciano (lovely anti-pasta), Stephano's Pizzaria (just down the hill and great pizzas) and a simple restaurant called la Mugnaia where we feasted on pasta.Having stayed in a great number of luxury holiday villas we can say without doubt this is the highest quality and most beautiful house in the most incredible stunning location we have every has the pleasure of visiting. We all look forward to a return visit to this beautiful house.
