We had the pleasure of cooking with Marco today. It was a perfect Saturday full of great company, great wine, great teaching and amazing food. Marco is truly not only an excellent chef but also an amazing guy. My partner and I would recommend this activity 100% to everyone being in Rome. Worth every penny - and more.

Marco and this cooking class are great! We have been looking for the best pasta all week but together with Marco we made the best pasta in Rome ourselves! Fun, interesting and delicious!

Great day with Marco! There was a little of everything. We started with a walk to a local market with some great stories about some sites along the way. We returned to the kitchen and began our cooking! It was a fun day filled with stories, instruction, wine, and very delicious pasta! Marco was wonderful. We all felt that we could replicate the pasta at home. He’s a great teacher. A very lovely day in Rome.

If you can do any cooking class in Rome, you must do cooking with mama. Marco, our instructor, made the class an unforgettable experience. From taking us to a local market to get ingredients, to telling us tales about his travels and life, to really going into depth on how to prepare fresh pasta, he really made the experience feel like you were cooking with a bunch of friends. What I loved the most about the class is how easy it was to talk to him and how fun he made the whole experience. My girlfriend and I missed two tours because of the cooking class (the class took 4-5 hours) but I did not regret missing those tours one bit because the experience was so worth it. Please do yourself the favor and TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!

Making pasta was fun. Starting with a trip to the market. If you are wanting to learn more of where to buy fresh ingredients I recommend trying the cooking class at the beginning of your travels. Thank you Marco for your hospitality, teaching, and supplying plenty of wine! We look forward to trying again at home. Beautiful experience blending a little Roman history, current day conversation, and the love of food.

I really wanted to love this cooking class but there were many things that needed improvement. The class was suppose to last 4 hours long, but instead lasted 5 1/2 hours long which was when the food was served. This was a class that was from 11:30-15:30 and many people did not eat, assuming that we would eat at a reasonable time. We did not start eating until 16:00 and weren’t given anything to snack on prior, until one of the students asked. Between the 10 of us, we shared a small can of Pringle’s and one cookie.In addition, we were not taught how to make any of the sauces. The premise of the class is that you make your own pasta and give it to the instructor for him to cook it and make different sauces etc. Some of the students tried to ask to help, such as cutting vegetables for the sauce, but he politely declined. If you really want to learn how to cook, then this wouldn’t be the class for you because he makes the fillings and sauces privately, while you work on hand shaping the pasta.Overall, it is a class that seemed unorganized and I wouldn’t recommend it. Marco is a great guy nonetheless like the other reviews said, but this class needs a lot of work.

I definitely recommend the pasta course with Marco, it was the perfect mix of informations about the market, buying the right ingredients, making and of course eating the pasta. But the best was Marco, who is not only an expert than a great human being and one of the funniest person I’ve met. 5 stars Marco!
