AMODEO'S FARM - Olive Oil Producers in Sicily

Amodeo Farm is an amazing experience. We arrived without an appointment on August 1, 2018 and discovered it was closed. We called the number listed and Francesco Amodeo answered the phone. He graciously agreed to come up and meet us. When he got there, he was not only very welcoming but he spent about 2.5 hours with us showing us the olive trees, explaining how the whole process works to creat Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and we did an olive oil tasting. Listening to him and hanging out with him was a great experience.He then walked us into the tasting room, which was his Grandfather’s country house. The furnishings inside are amazing and the atmosphere is incredible. He walked us through each step of how to properly taste olive oil. Showed us the chart of the tastes that we should experience as we “experience” the olive oil.We learned some incredible things about the harvesting, the pressing and the tasting of olive oil. Francesco was an amazing host and we were so thankful he took the time to give us an amazing experience. This is a beautiful place with an awesome host and it is a stop I highly recommend.Thank you Francesco for an amazing experience.

Meravigliosa giornata. Abbiamo gustato un pranzo tipico siciliano con la vera pasta alla carrettiera. Francesco, proprietario appassionato, ci ha guidato nell'esperienza bellissima ed originale alla scoperta del vero olio extravergine d'oliva e ci ha fatto capire e apprezzare la tradizione e l'innovazione di un prodotto unico e speciale. Fino al tramonto sulla terrazza panoramica, noi e i bambini ci siamo rilassati e abbiamo respirato aria pura. Grazie, da rifare presto

Most amazing experience. Francesco is the most incredible host. He showed us round his beautiful, traditional property. We learnt lots about the process of making exceptionally good olive oil. The food and wine was fantastic! If you want authentic, genuine Sicilian hospitality, this is the place. If I could give more stars I would.

Amodeo’s farm was an amazing experience. The owner Fransesco went absolutely out of his way to make the most memorable experience for us, and he succeeded!! We were captivated by his explanation about olives, oil, his farm and his family history, but we also laughed our butts off when he and his friends were entertaining us. The lunch was AMAZING with fresh ingredients, we ate until we simply couldn’t anymore and still got to take leftovers home. And then there’s the olive oil… The best we’ve ever had. Thank you so so so much Fransesco, this will be a memory we won’t forget!!!

Abbiamo trascorso una giornata molto bella in questo oliveto..assaggiato ottimi prodotti del posto, conosciuto il percorso per ottenere un ottimo olio e in fine Francesco il titolare ci ha spiegato come si degusta l'olio..e stato veramente molto interessante.. esperienza da fare sicuramente venendo in questi luoghi bellissimj

Incredible day at Frank’s farm!! This was some of the best food we tasted during our time in Sicily. This is such a special experience and not to be missed if you are in the area & hoping to learn more about olive farming and olive oil. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!I highly recommend Frank's olive oil experience on the farm: it includes a super delicious lunch (so much food!), a walk through the olive grove with olive harvesting, an olive oil tasting class and a run through the production process.Frank is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about olive oil, olive types and trees, his territory and the local food, explaining in details about how his family farm started and how the local territory has developed. The whole experience is very engaging, interesting, educational and extremely fun :D Frank is an entertainer and incredible host and goes above and beyond to make his guests feel at home.He also has a very cute dog, Spike, who stole the show a few times during the experience.If you are after an interactive day, learning, having fun and having LOTS of incredible oil and authentic food, this is the place for you!Thanks again Frank!ESPERIENZA UNICA!Raccomando vivamente la olive oil experience che include un pranzo eccezionale (montagne di cibo delizioso!), una camminata tra gli ulivi con un po' di raccolta di olive, una lezione di degustazione di olio e la spiegazione del processo di manufattura dell'olio.Frank è molto appassionato della sua terra e incredibilmente competente riguardo a olio, tipi di olive, come crescere ulivi e racconta perfettamente come si è sviluppato il suo uliveto di famiglia e la zona circostante.L' esperienza è interattiva e intrattenente, interessante, educativa e divertente :D Frank è un intrattenitore e un oste perfetto che si dedica completamente al benessere dei suoi ospiti.C'è anche stata l'apparizione del bellissimo cane di Frank, Spike, che ha rubato il centro dell'attenzione diverse volte.Se cercare un'attività per una giornata interattiva, educazionale per divertirsi e degustare ottimo olio e cibo local incredibile, questo fa per voi!Grazie ancora Frank!

Such a memorable day at the farm full of food, drinks, knowledge and nature! Will never look at olive oil the same way anymore that is for sure and we look forward to ordering some from here once this years harvest is complete.
