Villa Francesca Tuscany

The house is a little piece of paradise tucked away in Tuscany. We - two adults and two kids - stayed here for 10 days in June and loved our time here.Location: the location is quite ideal to see Tuscany. There are innumerable characteristic Tuscan towns with historic hill top centers, wineries, cathedrals etc within easy drive: Cortona, Pienza, San San Gimignano, Monteriggioni - to name a few. The major attractions such as Florence and Pisa are also close by. Over the 10 days we were here, we drove, walked and biked to innumerable places, soaking in the best of Tuscany.House: the house is perched on the hill side providing spectacular views of the valley. These can be enjoyed on the patio that is at higher ground next to the small pool. The pool provided a daily welcome reprieve from the Tuscan heat. The kids loved it and spent hours in the water. There is ample outdoor seating - terraced dinning table under the grape wine, several loungers under the sun or in the shade, seats with a view and lounge set furniture next to the pool with the best views. The house is well equipped with anything one can think of: TV, DVD player, cable, and decent speed wired and wireless internet. We worked US hours during our stay and had no issues with video conferences. There is a washer and sun drying racks. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances that are fairly intuitive to use. We cooked often and also used the oven a couple of times. Everything worked well. There is a large refrigerator and also a wine cellar, stocked with local wine. The overall vibe is of utmost comfort in rural Tuscan country setting. There is peace and quite - an ideal setting for relaxation, introspection and conversations.Host: Valentina is a great host. She has done up the house very thoughtfully and prepared a booklet with a comprehensive set of instructions and suggestions. She nonetheless makes herself available for any help. She is a delight to communicate with and her periodic counsel made our stay all the more wonderful.We were so lucky to have found Villa Francesca. Having made some amazing family memories here, we cannot recommend the place enough to other travelers.
