Ho noleggiato l'auto con ritiro e consegna presso questo ufficio diverse volte: nonostante l'alto volume di noleggi che probabilmente l'ufficio sostiene, lo staff è sempre stato molto disponibile, gentile ed esaustivo nei suoi chiarimenti. Conferma avvenuta con l'ultimo noleggio, con una vettura ritirata pulita, con pieno nel serbatoio e pronta per il viaggio. Per me...10 e lode.

Beware! Photograph your car carefully when you return it and be prepared to be scammed.I returned a car to this location at 10:00pm on July 9. Although the Avis website says it's open till midnight and 2 uniformed employees were at the counter, they said they were not open and I should leave the keys on the dashboard of the unlocked car. I reluctantly did that and took still photos and videos to document its condition.The next day I received an email with photos of 2 large scratches that they claim I made, and a bill for 441 euros which they immediately charged my credit card!I carefully compared their photos and mine and it is clear that the damage does not appear in my photos. It is also clear that the car was in a different location when their photos were taken. So far emails have not resolved this, but I will escalate until it is resolved and I receive compensation for my trouble dealing with this fraud.FOLLOW-UP: Although Avis wrote a nice comment below inviting me to email their social media group, I did that and have heard nothing. They were capable of charging my credit card quickly for damage" that was not there

La PEGGIORE esperienza di noleggio di sempre. È iniziato il Day 1 a ROMA, l'auto che abbiamo ricevuto era terribile, la radio era una radio after-market che non funzionava, non c'era il display, la porta USB non funzionava. Abbiamo chiesto informazioni su un'auto diversa e ci è stato detto che sarebbe costato altri 50 euro al GIORNO. Per fortuna avevamo una batteria di riserva per il nostro telefono poiché senza una USB per caricarlo, il nostro telefono sarebbe morto prima di raggiungere la nostra destinazione a Spello. Ho contattato AVIS e mi è stato chiesto di restituire l'auto a FCO a Roma, un viaggio di andata e ritorno di 6 ore? Ho chiesto di ottenere uno scambio nella nostra prossima destinazione San Benedetto del Tronto. Siamo arrivati lì ma non avevano la macchina e non sono mai stati contattati dal Servizio Clienti. ci hanno consigliato di andare a Pescara - più di 60 minuti in più. Lo abbiamo fatto, e anche loro non avevano informazioni o auto disponibili - questo è stato DOPO che il Servizio Clienti AVIS ha verificato che avrebbero avuto un'auto. Dopo molto aiuto da parte dell'agente locale, che ha chiamato L'Aquila e ha continuato a cercare per noi, sono riusciti a guidarci oltre L'Aquila fino ad Avezzano per prendere finalmente un'auto. La sede di Avezzano è andata ben oltre nell'aiutarci a rimetterci in viaggio, anche se ore più tardi di quanto sperassimo e con un'esperienza estremamente negativa da parte di AVIS. Non è la prima volta che prenoto auto da Avis Autonoleggio Fiumicino e non ho mai avuto motivo di lamentarmi. Questa volta, in più, devo aggiungere l'estrema cortesia, gentilezza e disponibilità dell'operatore, che credo su chiami Luna, la quale, benché fosse a fine turno, ha ascoltato tutte le mie richieste e dubbi con attenzione, cercando, nei limiti del possibile, di accontentarmi. Very bad experience. Please, run away before you regret it. Rented a car and just before returning it, car stopped in high way because of mechanical problem. They tried to charge me with 1,200€. After discussion and to make a very long story short, I was obliged to pay 700€ (towing + benzine refilling (no chance to refill tank as car broken)). I almost missed my flight. Had to pay expensive taxi to go to the airport. Police escorted me to get out of the high way. My family were shocked and were all in unsafe situation. I could cope with all of that. However, 2 months later, they took 1.200€ from my credit card without any notice and in total opposition of what was agreed (700€). Tried to reach them several times by emails and by phone. They never answered my emails and was not possible to get a person to talk to. I am a loyal customer since more than 10 years and have strong records of all rentals I did with Avis in Europe and USA. I am working for a global company and we are using Avis globally. I have been treated like if I have misused their car although my extensive experience with Avis. I will take legal actions again this agency in Roma airport. I will not let it go and if you read me, better for you to avoid this agency. I would have preferred to solve this issue rather than writing this review and involving my lawyer. I have been left without any answer to my email and the manner they did it is everything except honest.

Terrible service. Be prepared that the deposit will not be returned to you, in addition, an additional amount will be charged for services that you did not use. I returned the car clean, with a full tank of fuel, exactly at the specified place and time, but I was charged for additional location and service. They calculated the amount of rent more than what was paid at booking. Added services that I did not use. Wrote to support no solution. The chance that I will still use or recommend this company to someone is zero.

The overall rental experience was great. We stood in line for a bit but that’s nothing new when renting a car. Then the woman at the desk was able to explain things well. She made sure that he car we rented would serve us well. It was a new car with 200 km on it. They did not have toll passes so we needed to pay those but that wasn’t too hard once we figured it out. We opted for full coverage insurance which I had hoped would be overkill but driving in Italy is no joke. Go for full coverage! The return was very easy. We were directed where to park, got our things out while the vehicle was looked over, and then given a copy of our charges. Easy easy. The only thing that was not good was that the new car had a lock on the radio that prevented us from plugging our phone in for CarPlay. That’s a safety thing for us and we frequently used it for gps. We researched online and the document needed to unlock it wasn’t included and the only other way was to take it to a dealer.

Got charged almost 10,000 euros because the rental agent made a mistake with the car mileage (adding almost 30,000 extra km). We were not provided an invoice when dropping off the car - it was emailed to us later - so I didn’t realize the enormous charge until I checked my credit card statement. An invoice/receipt should be provided on return so that charges can be reviewed by customers for mistakes. This was incredibly stressful and took us two trips back to the AVIS centre to resolve. Both rental agents that we spoke to were not in the least apologetic. I’m still waiting for the refund to be issued after 3 days. Avis agents and the company also need to do a better job clarifying the extra fees and taxes upfront. We were initially quoted ~600 euros when booking but when we picked up the car there was an extra 400 euros added in taxes and extra fees that were not disclosed to us. In addition, the rental agent who first gave us the car did not check the car so we ended up being charged for minor scratches that we believe were already on the vehicle before renting. In hindsight we should have done a better job documenting the state of the vehicle, however, it was still disappointing to deal with. Although the pick up and drop off were quick and convenient, we do not feel comfortable booking with Avis in the future given our experience.

EDIT June 3: Adding pictures showing windshield when vehicle was left in Avis lot and pictures from Avis the next day. Everyone you need to document the condition of the vehicle when you leave it at this location of Avis. They will try to charge you for damage that occurred after you left the vehicle in their possession.EDIT May 24: Jozsef was very kind in his reply and asked me to send him the details. I emailed them on May 10 with the pictures and details showing no damage to the car when it was returned in Avis lot. Sadly Jozsef never responded to my email. I emailed again on May 15 to make sure all the pictures and documentation was received. Again no response at all. So I followed up again on May 19, but no response from Jozsef or anyone at his company. Now here it is on May 24 still waiting for a response from Jozsef. The issue was a cracked windshield. I have added the picture to this review showing the windshield is not cracked. Jozsef please update me on the status...My family and I rented a car from Avis in the Rome airport for 7 days last month. Picking up the car was fine, the care was nice and clean. Everything during the rental was great. When returning the car it was late and there was only one person from Avis in the secure Avis parking area who told us to leave the keys in the car. I looked over the car and took pictures everything was fine and in good condition when we returned the car.The next morning I got an email from Avis saying that the windshield was cracked and I would be charged for the damage. But I had my pictures. I immediately looked over my photos and saw that there was no damage to the vehicle when I left it in Avis parking lot, so I was not concerned. I had proof showing there was no damage, photos showed the license plate, the windshield (without damage) and the parking spot that I left the vehicle in and also the mileage on the odometer. I submitted a claim to Avis showing that I returned the car without any damage the same day I received the email from Avis saying there was damage. I did not hear anything back from them. Followed up with a phone call and they gave me a case number that they were working on it. But I never heard back. Another phone call and another case number. But nothing from Avis.Two days later my credit card was billed for the damage.I was shocked that even after showing proof in photos, with time, location, mileage, license plate number, that the vehicle was returned without damage, I was still charged the repair fee. There are security camera's in the parking area so Avis knows this car was returned without damage. Mistakes happen, but when you have proof that you returned the car without damage and the mistake is not corrected that is a problem. I am disappointed that Avis is not the company I thought they were. We chose Avis because of their reputation for honesty and integrity. Sadly we were mistaken. We are currently working with our credit card company to resolve this issue. I am hoping Avis will have a closer look at the evidence and do the right thing. But until they do I cannot give more than 1 star.

1. L’auto non era stata preparata nonostante la prenotazione 3 mesi prima. 2. La macchina che avevo prenotato non era disponibile. 3. Hanno cercato di darmi un auto di categoria superiore. 4. Mi hanno fatto vedere un’auto nuova in alternativa per valutare le dimensioni e poi hanno cercato di darmi una vecchia auto con 70k km. 5. Ho pagato 1900 euro anziché 1200 euro come da preventivo.Tutto questo nonostante io sia “Avis preferred” da anni! Immagino come vengano trattati gli altri clienti.
