One of the reasons that I went back to Italy was because of craving for Italy’s Calamari. So, I found this gem at the local market in Firenze. Oh God, I got Calamari that I wanted, yummy! The guy who served me at that time was very friendly. And also, when I sat there, I really felt the vibes of local. I love the atmosphere. For sure, I will be back to this place when I visit back Firenze for more calamari!

A must for lunch if you're in Florence! We've gone here multiple times for lunch. The seafood is fresh and simply delicious at very reasonable prices. Raffaello served us, and he was very kind. The food and hospitality here was a highlight of our trip to Italy.

This was a pleasant surprise! If you go to the market, then this is a MUST! The seafood was fresh and the wine was very cheap! This is the epitome of great seafood dishes! We got the mixed fried seafood and it was absolutely delicious! If we go back to Florence, this will be part of our daily diet.

We weren’t so confident about getting seafood in Firenze but this place definitely hits the spot. Ordered the regular frittura mista and ended up getting another one cause it was so good! House wine is great too

Situato all interno del mercato centrale di San Lorenzo è un posto dove puoi liberamente sbizzarrirti nel mangiare pesce . Crostini di baccalà mantecato sugarello con cipollina fresca sgombro mantecato gamberi sempre freschi così come le ostriche e poi un misto pesce fritto fatto veramente beneVino bianco sempre freddo e buon appetito. Consigliatissimo.

Went to Sugarello as part of a Florence food tour. We ate at a variety of places but Sugarello was the standout. Expertly prepared, delicious fish with attentive service. The experience was similar to dining at a 5 star restaurant except you were sitting on a stool and chatting with the staff and people next to you. We loved it so much we went back on our own. Menu was different which shows how fresh everything is. If you are in Florence, go to Sugarello!! You will not be disappointed.Eileen
