From the moment we met Nadia, she made us feel comfortable and was a joy to be around.  Before the tour even began, Nadia took the time to show us maps of Venice and went over the important history of the city, to help us gain an overview of where we would be walking.  She asked us questions about what we had already seen and what we hoped to see, working with us to customize our experience and meet our needs.  She was full of valuable information and gave us stellar recommendations about places to visit and where to eat.  We did a walking tour for 2 hours and a boat tour for 1 hour.  I highly recommend seeing the city this way, from land and water.  She took us to parts of the city that, generally, tourists don’t see.  We were able to take pictures and videos that captured the beauty of Venice. Nadia is simply the best, and this is the most amazing way to see such an amazing city!

If you want a tour from the unofficial sindaco (mayor) of Venice look no further than Nadia. She has a very welcoming personality and a passion for the city and people of Venice. We trusted her with the tour agenda and it did not disappoint. In addition to sampling traditional Venice street food we toured some hard to reach seldom seen spots. Nadia and A Friend in Venice were simply amazing.  From booking and communication, to the actual tour, it was a 5-star experience from start to finish.  Nadia was so full of passion for Venice and her country, and it was contagious!  My husband and I learned so much!  It was my second time to Venice, and there was so much yet to learn.  Nadia was entertaining throughout the tour.  She took us around the city, truly off-the-beaten-path, to hidden gems that tourists don’t see.  You see, with Nadia, we were travelers, and felt like local friends.  It’s one thing to visit Venice, it’s quite another to experience such a magical city, and learn about its rich history and magnificent features from someone who has loved it her whole life!  I recommend this tour, and Nadia specifically, to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the Venetian culture and see it through the eyes of a local!

Nadia gave us many insights into Venetian life, culture, history and architecture, all with warmth humour and personality. She really does seem to know everyone in Venice! It was wonderful to see this unique city through the eyes of a local rather than as a tourist. Would highly recommend.

Nadia and her tour were the highlight of our short stay in Venice! We absolutely loved doing this tour and would recommend it to ANYONE who wants a personalized experience in Venice. Our guide, Nadia, was brilliant - super friendly, helpful, considerate and extremely knowledgeable - and she thoroughly educated us on the Venetian history. Nadia took us on a 2 hour walk through the back streets of Venice to avoid the large crowds. We then stopped at a beautiful hotel for a light snack before going on a 1 hour water taxi tour. At the end of the 3 hours, we now consider Nadia a friend. If one ever visits Venice, please book a private tour with Nadia, you will not regret it!

Our walking and water taxi tour of Venice was spectacular. Nadia’s enthusiasm and historical references are outstanding. I feel her tour was the perfect activity to educate ourselves on our fist visit to Venice.
