Domus Nova Verona - Italian Homing

I have stayed in Verona quite a lot, in all different places, but this guesthouse has to have THE best view of all. Housed in gorgeous palazzo itself, with common room windows, and windows of lovely room called Giulietta facing onto beautiful Piazza dei Signori, you don't have to go far to have a drink with your choice of music. Alternatively, Piazza Erbe is 10 metres away, right behind you. I had a huge room by Verona standards, called Donna, I believe, with balcony view over the rooftops of Venice and the arc leading into Piazza Erbe, just fab. Marco was excellent and helpful. Aircon very quiet and efficient. Yes, decor may not be Westin or Four Seasons, but for the price and comfort, you cannot beat Domus and its view.

É un B&B molto carino, situato in pieno centro tra piazza delle erbe e piazza dei signori la quale si può ammirare dalla nostra stanza. La colazione é abbondante e molto buona. Stanze pulite e ben servite.

We stayed in Verona at the Domus Nova, on the recommendation of a good friend back in Australia who is related to the owners of this very special B&B. It was lovely and we were transported back to a luxurious time in history. This was a highlight of our two weeks in Italy. Giovanni was a great host; we loved being able to enjoy the top floor of this special apartment that has been in his family for 200 years, looking out onto Piazza dei Signori with all of its charm, people and history.

Tutto perfetto!! Ambiente grande, molto confortevole e pulitissimo. Ottima vista su piazza dei signori e delle erbe. Proprietario molto disponibile e gentile! Ottima esperienza, ci torneremo!

Splendida location. Bella la vista dalla finestra su piazza dei signori. Silenzioso. Comoda per girare a piedi tutta Verona. Pulitissimo!!! ATTENZIONE! Calcolate i tempi del soggiorno perché se non avete la macchina non hanno un deposito x le valigie. Lo sconsiglio a viaggiatori non smart (magari quelli di una certa età potrebbero fare fatica) l'accesso è totalmente automatico tramite un link che si riceve via mail

Pernottare in un palazzo del XII secolo non è certo cosa di tutti i giorni ... Posizione meravigliosa a pochi passi da Piazza delle Erbe e da tutti i luoghi d'interesse artistico che offre la città . Personale cortese e premuroso . Nulla da eccepire , esperienza di alto livello . Consigliatissimo in particolare a coppie in cerca di un luogo romantico dove soggiornare .

We discovered Domus Nova on the Sawdays website, and what a find it is – a luxury B&B on the third floor of an ancient palazzo overlooking the Piazza dei Signori, the main square of Verona. Owner Giovanni Roberti’s family have inhabited the building for about 200 years, and several family members have apartments within it. Our suite, the ‘Regina Adelaide’, comprised a hall, a large bathroom and a superbly-equipped bedroom/sitting room with long windows opening on to the piazza. The bed was comfortable and the wi-fi and air-conditioning good. Giovanni was usually in the adjoining salon (also overlooking the piazza) in the morning, along with his domestic helper, Nadia, who served breakfast at a time chosen by us. Giovanni gave us good advice on historic sites to visit and on neighbouring towns for a day trip by train. He explained that Domus Nova had been designed and furnished in colours popular in medieval times: the whole effect was harmonious and restful.Stayed 4 nights June 2018.
