Waiter said goodbye to us using “konichiwa” while none of us were Japanese.Food was good, we were assigned to a table that is elbow to elbow to the next table, while there were other tables available, and they refused to reseat us.Service was very slow, waiter was only willing to talk to the Italian looking person on the table. Would say we received a very racist service.

Excellent! The food is delicious the service is a 10/10 the waiter was so nice to us and they speak English. I went with my family for my birthday and they brought me a cake with a candle a very nice gesture from them ! Thank u we had a wonderful evening

Excellent food, amazing service, charming atmosphere and definitely a memorable experienceWe started with the squid salad, then had the seafood and green risotto and ended the night with super fluffy tiramisuThey have a great selection of wine with all price rangesOur server Jamal did a fantastic job and was our highlight of the evening

Il Solferino fa' parte di quella categoria di luoghi a Milano, molto radicati nelle tradizioni culinarie della città.Il locale sorge nel pieno centro storico, incastrato tra il vecchio ed il nuovo Sky line. Entrando più nel merito del locale, l'accoglienza é stata abbastanza calorosa, a dir poco informale. Per questa nostra prima volta abbiamo voluto selezionare un classico della cucina milanese, ovvero risotto alla milanese con ossobuco.Il piatto aveva un sapore eccellente, ed il riso, aveva perfettamente tenuto la cottura. Unica critica, a fronte di quei prezzi é l'impiattamento, che ho trovato un po' troppo grezza.Dopo l'aver finito il risotto e provato le loro puntarelle, abbiamo terminato il nostro percorso con un'eccellente tortino al cioccolato fatto in casa. É stata la doverosa conclusione di quella cena.In conclusione, il posto é davvero caruccio seppur abbastanza costoso per una cena informale o tra amici. Lo posso consigliare a tutti coloro che vengono a Milano per una toccata e fuga.

Ottima esperienza, cibo ottimo, molto accogliente la location. Patè vince su tutti i buonissimi antipasti, secondi eccezionali. Dolci.. anche troppo. Si può perdonare un servizio un pochino ruvido e i prezzi dei vini un po' alti. Una esperienza complessivamente ottima, da rifare.

The atmosphere of this place and the food is what makes me choose to assign 5 stars (4.5 realistically ) . I’ll have to come back to try more dishes.I’m not surprised to see some complaints about the staff and service which can really be improved. Fortunately our server was professional, however I did have the feeling some people were less happy to work there.I would choose this place for both business lunches and date nights.

Storico. Tante le gestioni nei decenni. Quest'ultima rispetta e mantiene alta la tradizione della locanda, della cucina. Esoso, ma dalle materie prime e dalle preparazioni che meritano. Ricette classiche, grandi tagli di carne, vasta la scelta dei vini. Una vicenda lega a questo luogo, qui ardua da riassumere sterilmente, di certo in sala, ai tavoli, c'è una persona di immensa sensibilità e professionalità, oltre che dalla sincera generosità.

Fantastic Italian food and wine! Loved the octopus, ossobuco, paccheri ragu and tiramisu!! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back. Reservation required.

We stumbled here accidentally and found ourselves exactly where we wanted to be: a classic old school Milan spot with all the hits executed well. The risotto Milanese had perfect texture and just the right amount of richness. The arugula salad was covered in big shavings of parmesan and the olive oil served had such intense, delicious aroma. The ravioli with Stracciatella were tender without being meek. The wine!!!! I was so glad to find myself in this tight little spot, surrounded by busy diners, happily eating heaping plates of fried dish and whole fish, deboned, and beautiful contorni of sauteed chicories. If you want to feel steeped in Milan food culture, this is a great spot.

We were enjoying the food and atmosphere until it fell through. We were one of the first to sit so our waiter was pretty attentive at the beginning but it was a different story afterwards. It took more than an hour from dessert to bill (same time it took us to sit down, order food, finish the appetizer plus main dishes). Our waiter was so busy (or slow?). What made the experience worse was when he asked for tip. This was the first time we were asked to tip dining in Italy. We tipped him but did not feel good about his request when we didn’t receive excel service.
