We rented a one way car from Cinqueterre to Rome for 3 days, and was very pleased with Hertz’s price and quality overall. I would rent with them again. This is feedback for just this location and the returns process. It’s terrible, and had the sketchiest car return process ever. We returned the car at 8pm on a Sunday, and the gate was closed, so had to call the number on the gate. There was no pickup, however some bigger Italian guy parked behind us in the ramp, and checked if we were a Hertz return. We said yes and he opened the gates to let us park. He didn’t speak English, had no uniform, ID, or badge. The parking lot also is very dark and suspicious. We parked the car, he wrote a note of the return time, and requested the key, and put it outside, behind the wipers. There’s no key dropbox or any receipt/proof that you get when returning the car like at other return places. We took some videos of the car, and he offered to be in the video, which was nice. However I took a photo of his car afterwards as I was very worried about this entire process, thinking I was getting scammed, and he said something Italian that sounded very upset. Regardless, I got the invoice today, so all is good, but just writing this note to help others, and the company. I looked at the sign again, and it looks like Hertz contracts out the return process to MuoviAmo, so he must have been an authorized employee, but where’s the ID and uniform? Tourists can’t expect someone with only a gate key is trustable. Regardless, this is a Hertz customer experience issue, and they really ought to fix it.

I called hertz directly and booked on the phone to be able to reserve from this location. It was my First time in Europe and I chose this location over the one at the airport. It was also the only rental location open “late” on Saturday as they close at 3pm. Yes the location is split in two but once you get to Rome your would understand parking space in general is very rare so it would make sense the garage is a bit down the ways. Not at the office. The ladies at the office were very helpful told me about the ztl zones (which is very close to the location so be careful). We had a cool Jeep compás diesel they don’t sell back home.

Giacomo was an outstanding representative for Hertz and provided service I have never encountered in a Hertz office in the US. Knowing we were travelinfg widely in Italy for 3 weeks, he had reserved us the best possible car, and was consistently pleasant and knowledgeable, including about the details of the photos in their office. One suggestion would be to make it clearer for first-time users that the office and the cars themselves are at different numbers on the same street

I recently visited Hert, and I must say that it was a rather disappointing experience. First and foremost, the place had no air conditioning, which made it quite uncomfortable during my visit. The lack of proper ventilation definitely affected my overall experience.Additionally, the service was subpar. I had to wait for a staggering 35 minutes before someone attended to me. To make matters worse, there was only one staff member available to tend to the customers, while the other staff member was apparently on their lunch break. This resulted in a significant delay in service and left me feeling neglected and unimportant as a customer.What made matters worse was the lack of communication from the staff. I wasn't informed about the wait time or given any indication of when I would be attended to. It felt as though I was completely ignored and not given any importance.Overall, my experience at Hert was far from satisfactory. The absence of air conditioning, the long wait time, the understaffed situation, and the lack of communication all contributed to a negative experience. I did not feel welcomed or valued as a customer, and I would hesitate to return or recommend this place to others.

Recently rented from this location and was not pleased with the rental/return process in the least. First the options available to book online are limited and the website is of no use when making a reservation in Italy while in the USA which upon arrival seems to be by design so that they can up sell cars not made available online. I purchased Collision and Theft insurance through the AAA website/membership, showed the details to the attendant but he wouldn’t honor/accept that as insurance so he proceeded to add more insurance telling me that I could contest it after the return. Once the booking is close to completed they spring a surprise requirement for a second credit card hold for “security “ on the “premium “ vehicle. At the return no attendant from hertz is available as they seem to outsource that function to the local garage attendant and if your a smidge under the full tank, they’ll dock you for the gas. The whole process is third rate and not something you’d expect from Hertz.

hello today at 4 am I returned the key to the box but at 8 am I get an email that the car is damaged but it's good that I took a photo before renting and after renting the car on July 25 at 19.11 and the photo is with the same date. beware of this companyI am waiting for the deposit to be returned in full, if not, I will report it to the appropriate authorities

Terrible .. If you have Dubai license and willing to rent from them they will not allow you despite the clear rules that allow that .. all other companies do that except them .. AVOID BY ALL MEANS employees are poor and not know any rules and not updated

OUTSTANDING customer service!!Check-in Representative; Roberta was extremely patient & helpful with picking up car. Location pick up was changed due to flooding but we were compensated to an up grade which was appreciated. Service Staff; Gianni & Roberto were EXTREMELY patient & so helpful with car functions. Grazie mille!!Check-out Representative was very helpful with directions to train Station.Thank you, keep up the Excellent Customer Service!
