I was stopped my the police in 2016 and was asked to show my drivers license which I'd left in my handbag in my studio.They presented me with a 40 euros fine to pay within 5 days (which I did) otherwise I'd have to pay more.For me I though that was the end of it. What I didn't realize is that I had to present my license at the Pietrasanta police station.Having not done this I was presented with a fine I never received as you have to pick it up at the post office. I traveled internationally and missed this. without any warning or notification I received a fine for £1,670.00. which they justify as interest, for what I do not know.They sit on the fine with a limit of up-to 5 years and earn interest.If you don't pay this then then they can cease your car and arrest funds in your bank account.I want to this station with my Lawyer and they were very unhelpful and lacked any empathy for my situation.I implore any people coming here who don't understand the law to be very careful. This is how they make money with fining people.

Un luogo dove tutti parlano bene , era impossibile da non visitare . Premetto che non conosco le strade e vivo in Germania . E non conoscendo le strade mi sembra anche ovvio che si possa sbagliare e magari finire in una strada che e vietato da attraversare io la multa che mi e arrivata oggi io la pago e ovvia la cosa , ma invito chiunque straniero a non andare in un posto dove il buon senso non si vede come la tolleranza . Bisogna sempre imparare dai tedeschi. Cordiali Saluti .P.S : Quante stelle dovrei dare ?

Multato per aver parcheggiato non completamente negli spazi, ticket regolarmente pagato. Gli spazi sono molto stretti e si rischia la sportellata , e inevitabile a volte parcheggiare fuori dagli spazi. Multa tecnicamente ineccepibile, un po meno il buon senso. A mai più a Pietrasanta, ci sono tanti altri bei posti in Italia dove il turista e il benvenuto, anche se parcheggia un po fuori dalle righe.
