Fraudulous attempt of charging us for damaged tires (which were not damaged).250 euros.

I made a booking for 1pm and left contact details. I waited all morning in a cafe near by I turned up sharp at 1 pm and office was shut. Nobody called/ emailed me to say they close for lunch. Nobody picks up the phone.At 3pm the office opened and we got a brand new Fiat 500 hybrid, after paying all add on insurance. No problem after.

Unfortunately, just like robbers would do, this rental company used a technic to extort money from us. They pretented we had damaged the car by inventing a deep cut" on the tyre. And changing a tyre for Avis/Budget apparently costs 250€. Obviously the tyre was like this when we took the car (and still not damaged) and there is nothing you can say when they avcuse you. The worst about it is that the car will be given to the next client in the same state and this client will also be charged 250€. They should be ashamed of doing this. At least by writing this comment people will know... do not go there. I hope other rental companies in Itlay are more honest."

WARNING: they say collision protection is included but there is still an €2000 excess. There is no option online to purchase full insurance so it comes as a nasty surprise when you collect your car.

This was by far the worst car rental experience ever. First, we were quoted a much lower price and then wound up being charged a lot more. Upon return of the vehicle, we were told that the peeling paint on the front bumper was our responsibility despite the pictures that proved otherwise. The most heinous part of this experience was the extreme classlessness and tacky customer service. Both the manager and employee lacked any interpersonal skills or professionalism. The yelled, rolled their eyes and acted like angry children in uniforms. At one point, the manager demanded my ID even though I was not on the contract. These bullying tactics are indeed intentional. I am appalled by the scamming and lack of etiquette. Shame on you, Budget. I would highly recommend staying FAR away from this particular location. Awful people who lack integrity. Disgusting.

Warning!!!! do not rent your car from this place scam, artist, fraud, alert, fraud, alert, fraud alert!!!!!! I really wish I could reach zero stars for this place. I have rented so many cars all over the world from budget and other companies. Please do not rent a car from this place.

We had no problems here. I saw several unfavorable reviews on Goolgle Maps and was a bit worried. But the staff were super nice, spoke several languages and we returned the car without problems. Do yourself a favor and buy the collision and car protection. It's not too much to spend for peace of mind.

Online reservation, arranged the papers, got the car. So far so good. Shortly after leaving the parking, we notice the fuel meter at 85-90% - not full. Took a picture of the dashboard. The next day, when returning the car, we mentioned this to the same guy who arranged our car the day before, claiming compensation for extra fuel we had to fill up. Proof of time in the EXIF photo data. Mood suddenly goes sour and he started accusing us of “driving with our eyes closed” - like it’s our responsibility to check the fuel meter? Most rude person I’ve ever encountered at a car rental. Lack of transparency when signing the final cost of rental, everything in Italian and no desire what so ever to engage further with this person.
