If I were an immigrant to this country I would be grateful to be welcomed as kindly and thoughtfully as these police employees receive their “guests” here for their resident’s permits. I’ve been here 3 times in a week and had the chance to notice how helpfully all are treated. Admittedly they only speak Italian and the wait can be considerable but they attitude is one of problem solving and kindness. From what I’ve seen, they are giving a benvenuto to a beautiful country that doesn’t always treat immigrants respectfully.

Friendly and respectful. Took a long time to get my Permesso Soggiorno. Applied 20 April 2021 and finally got it today 2 April 2022. Communication with applicants after application could be better. But overall content. (post Brexit application)

Immigration office: they don't speak any international languages, if you don't speak italian it will be very difficult to find any informations. Waiting time extremely long if you need resident permit..received informations partial and incomplete

Very kind and considerate staff. My Italian is not great but they were very helpful and communicated with patience . Polite with everyone.
