The location was amazing, it is a bit away from Como but that exactly what we wanted. It is two seconds from the lake and it has it's own deck and synthetic shore. Eric and the crew were extremely nice, I guess that he was the nicest resort owner I have ever met. You can do lake activities from the resort like order a speed boat, kayaking or other lake activities from there. The rooms have all the things you need in order to cook your own food, Just bring some with you or buy at supermarket on the main road near the resort. It has it own private parking lot with sharp incline I guess as many villas in the surrounding has. The is an elevator that will take you almost all the way from the parking to the resort with a few steps on the way. When we arrived the crew helped us with the suitcases and brought them to the room. Our experience was amazing and not less. If you need anything start from information about things to do or see or anything else you can talk to Eric or the crew and they will literally do their best to take care of you.

BUYER BEWARE ...if you book be sure to get trip insurance...we made reservations in February for July holiday and not 6 weeks later cancelled. We were told possible refunds if they could fill the villa. We kept checking & asking and by June we could tell by their online reservation calendar that they were pretty much booked up but they still would not even give a partial refund ! They not only kept our $900 deposit but another parties as well. One party did actually go and stated they were pretty much booked and let friends stay in an empty villa! So all in all be sure you are going before booking! They got $1800 for nothing more than a 6 week online

All I can say is WOW. This is a fantastic place to have a relaxing and welcoming experience. The beach area is such a unique little gem. The location is great, too. The nearby bus stop is perfect for getting places quickly. There's also a few nearby restaurants and a grocery. Hosts were almost like family by the end of our stay. We're definitely coming back!

Amazing lakeside property! We've spent a few relaxing days here! The hosts are very helpful and friendly and the place is ideally located for a perfect holiday on Como Lake!

Eric and Jennifer are the most friendly and helpful hosts we have had at self-catering accommodation by a long way. The fresh croissants delivered to our door every morning were a lovely treat – ordered by a text to Eric or Jennifer the night before. It was a delight to have direct access to the lake just metres from our door.The negatives to use were that the viletta was more basic inside than we expected with fittings that had seen better days, but this was balanced by the viletta being very clean.There are a few points you should be aware of, which were not obvious to us when booking LCBR, but are considerations:• The car park is at the bottom of a VERY steep S-bend down from the road – think at least a 45-degree slope on each part of the bend. If you are a nervous driver then give serious consideration to whether you wish to manoeuvre the car on this driveway. I got our hire car to the car park in the dark when we arrived and drove up and down it once more for a trip to Milan, but was not keen to do it with the car loaded with suitcases on our departure. Eric came to our rescue and skilfully got our car up to the road for us.• In order to be right on the lake, the trade-off is the journey from the road down to the vilettas – this is the road the Como to Belaggio bus travels on. From the road you walk down part of the steep slope, then there are 20 or so steps down to a lift which takes you down to a level which is just higher than the roof of the vilettas. At the bottom there are another 40-50 stairs down. You could spend your stay without needing to go back up to the road, by getting everywhere via the ferry which you will need to time well as there are only about 5 ferries each way from the Pognana stop.• To maximise space downstairs, each viletta has a spiral staircase up to the bedroom level. As long as you go up / down slowly it is easy, but large luggage will not get upstairs. We have narrow but fat cases and they fitted the width of the staircase just fine.• We stayed in the two-bedroom viletta. The stairs go in to the main bedroom and the bathroom and 2nd bedroom are off of this room. The second bedroom has a small window and is like being in a loft room.• The 2-bedroom viletta does not have a balcony. The trade-off is that gazebo by the lake (and just outside the door) is for this viletta, which was a bonus for us in the one downpour during our stay.Eric and Jennifer are so lovely and kind. They genuinely want all guests to enjoy their stay and are on hand – if not in-person, then at the end of a phone call / text / Whatsapp message – and will do all they can to help with advice or practical help, such as bus/ferry times, where to eat, booking restaurant tables, suggestions of where to go and what to see, etc. They could not have done more for us. This is the first time the hosts of where we are staying asked us to text them when we hot home so they knew we had arrived safely.In essence, if you want a relaxing and peaceful place to stay right on Lake Como, and you do not mind having 60-70 steps from the road to where you are staying – and back again! (there is a lift for the middle section) - then you cannot go wrong with LCBR. Eric and Jennifer will make you feel extremely welcome.
