Ostello Santa Fosca

We spent one night in this hostel located around 15 minutes walking distance from central station and 20 minutes from Piazza San Marco.The hostel itself is really nice and peaceful as is part of the old Church Chiesa dei Servi di Maria.It offers a kitchen where you can cook - some basics such as salt, onion/garlic, oil and even pasta are available for free.Only the silverware is a problem, there only seem to be a few cups and spoons which are too little for the number of guests.The people at the reception are really friendly and helpful.Our private room with private bathroom seemed to be fairly new renovated.On the wall there was a thermostat that indicates that A/C is available, but it's not. In fact there is a large window that lets fresh air in during the night, but in summer nights where temperatures don't go below 25° C, it's still pretty hot. Fortunately, the room has a ventilator which was life saving :)

Great location and super friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious with some fans by the beds. Only issue was the shower door had a gap and leaked lots of water, but the staff were eager to fix that. Otherwise 5 stars!

Fantastic hostel in the middle of Venice. Hidden just off the main streets of Venice is a hostel that supports young children, young adults and families. Rooms are nice, clean, but no air conditioning so hot. Super friendly staff

Good value and a good way to save on accommodations in Venice. Staff was friendly and personable, check in was easy. Only bad part of the experience was that when I returned to my room on the second night (four beds, shared with three strangers) someone was sleeping in my bed. Thankfully there was an open freshly made bed, which I’m guessing was supposed to be his. The shared bathroom was also mildly flooded with water, and I could not find staff to report this to. Checked out the next day.

I booked my room from their website and stayed on the third floor, there was no elevator, and ac available, only a ventilator and windows which were fine. They accept cash payments. There is a mosquito repellent and tablets for the repellent in the room. You might need to change the tablets to make sure it is working. They have a huge fully equipped clean kitchen, a large beautiful garden to hang out, and free cold ananas and grapefruit juices. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is good, it was easy to find just next to Paolo Sabri. Close to main street, attractions, and supermarket. You can store your luggage after check out for free. Definitely recommended.

One of the best hostels i've stayed in! Great location, comfortable beds, lockers with locks, nice bathrooms, a kitchen with some staple ingredients available for guests to use, and even a small tea station set up for 24 hour use. Staff also gave great recommendations! glad i chose to stay here while visiting Venice, highly recommend to any and all hostel-stayers! Great price for the value, would stay here again!

Me and my travelling partner were eaten alive by bed bugs. Both our legs were covered in bites the next morning. Very disappointed and thankfully it was only one night but not a pleasant experience. It’s a 20 minute walk from the attractions and the staff are nice, so not bad but really hard to look past the bed bugs

Disorganizzati e arroganti.Abbiamo provato a prenotare tramite sito, il quale non dava la possibilità di prenotare più di un letto alla volta nella stanza da quattro. Al telefono ci è stato consigliato di prenotare tramite mail, ma dopo giorni di attesa e altre telefonate di sollecito non abbiamo ricevuto risposta. Durante l’ennesima telefonata, sperando che per lo meno avessero fermato le camere, ci è stato riferito con maleducazione che non prendono prenotazione per mail e che ormai le camere erano tutte occupate. Sconsigliato.
