Custom Florence Tours

If you are like me and have been reading tons of reviews for tour guides, you can stop reading and just pick Paul. I echo all the amazing reviews that have come before. He was friendly, incredibly intelligent, great with our kids, and we wished the tour wouldn't end. We have done many tours and this was by far the best. I can't recommend him enough.

Paul was great, lots of fun and a really fresh look at art. I'm by no means an art buff, and was actually really bored on other tours in Italy. When we met Paul, he got to know us, fit in with the group and showed us some really interesting pieces along with the stories behind them. Rather than an overview and so much to take in through museums, Paul was able to tailor our tour to show highlights and interesting pieces. Great personality and tour from a NYC transplant.

My husband and I spent two weeks in Tuscany in early October. As we started to plan our time in Florence we knew we wanted a professional tour guide to help us better appreciate the history and art of the city. Paul Costa was the perfect tour guide. His knowledge of the history of the region is amazing, but more importantly the passion he has for his profession and his ability to communicate / educate us about the Renaissance period made the time we spent with him one of the most memorable parts of our trip. I do not know how someone could learn to understand and appreciate the wonderful works of art located in the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia without the guidance of someone like Paul. In addition, we had an amazing time just walking around the city with Paul as he pointed out so much art and history that a normal tourist would walk right by. I highly recommend Paul.

Paul is masters-degree educated former middle school teacher. He'll keep the kids engaged, while providing information and advice to parents. This doesn't mean that unpartnered and unparented will be given short shrift (as is often the case when singles travel). His grasp of Italian history and art will guarantee that you'll come away from the tour knowing a lot more than you did before---and you'll enjoy the learning experience.
