After talking to their technical/salesman Mirco, regarding their most suitable pump that can manage a heavy glucose syrup we ordered and tried the pump when it arrived. The pump worked well with water however when we moved to the syrup it virtually stalled, and after heating the syrup to render it more fluid it managed to pump slowly. Unfortunately it only pumped for 20 seconds or so before ceasing to move syrup, however the motor continued to run. We dismantled the pump body to find that instead of an Allen key to hold the teflon pump gear in place they use a small sphere, which almost immediately gouged it's way out of the Allen key slot and wore a path into the soft teflon gear.On describing our predicament to the owner of rover pumps he just said bad luck, we are not interested in your problem.I thank the company for its support, if you read this I suggest you look for another supplier who can help you if you have problems with their equipment.
