Best Western Hotel La Solara

Definitely 5 star experience even-though we only had two nights here. The hotel & rooms very clean with great views over the sea & capri. staff very helpful & friendly. Pool is huge & heated. Pool restaurant & breakfast high quality & very generous portions! They offer a very efficient shuttle service to the centre every hour until 1115 which was the quickest & easiest way it only takes about 7-8 minutes.I think it’s hard to beat & we will return for sure!

What s pleasure, a complete resort including a 25 meter pool. Arrived Sunday, which is paino bar and a meal evening. A special note to the front desk receptionist, Tina, she was more than accommodating and patient.

Exceptional hotel. The staff were amazing and in particular the chef and waiters. My partner is vegan and they went above and beyond to make sure he had a fantastic selection of meals. The rooms were also impeccably clean. The shuttle bus makes getting into Sorrento a breeze. Highly recommend

Ignore the reviews about it being outdated. It is a different style from a different era and I like it. The walk to town is dangerous so having the shuttle every hour is not only smart but a fabulous feature. Our main hotel was in Rome and we only stayed at La Solara for 2 nights but we wished we had reversed it. It is clean and great sites from any room. The service is exceptional, from the shuttle bus driver, to the reception and cleaners. My wife and I will come back if we are ever in Italy again! Thank you for making our stay perfecto!

One of the best hotels, if not the best, we have stayed in. The facilities were superb. The rooms spacious and clean. The swimming pol warm and a very good size. Loads of sunbeds and umbrellas. We went half board and both the breakfast and evening meals were outstanding. The best thing of all was the staff. All were very friendly and provided great service.The hotel is located about 2 km outside of the town centre but the hourly (8am to 11pm) free shuttle service means this is not a problem

Amazing staff, location is quiet away from Sorrento town, the hotel run a shuttle bus on the hour every hour to city centre free of charge, so you get the best of both worlds .For half board, breakfast wasn’t bad and you get a table dinner service for dinner. We did not use the pool due to the bad weather but the staff make it worthwhile. Clean rooms, not the most luxurious we have stayed for 4 star but the staff makes up for it. The gym was minimal. TV is all in Italian so use the WiFi if you want to access entertainment on your phone. WiFi connection not too bad. The hotel uses the old style plug with three pins, luckily there is one in your room by the kettle. Minibar was well stocked and the price was reasonable. There is a singer that comes most evenings, if you want lively this is not the place for you.

Tina was so helpful in recommending us things to do and the staff in general was always there to assist when needed.The hotel though a bit outdated is extremely clean. I would even go as far to say as it is probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed. It was immaculate.The hotel had a great view of the sea and was in a quiet area a bit out of Sorrento. It is an 11 minute drive from the Sorrento city center, but there is a free shuttle to and from the hotel that was great.The breakfast at the hotel was good (a bit on the American style side, but it did have variety).I would definitely recommend this hotel!The parking situation is not great

Love, Love, Love the La Solara hotel. Antonio, Tina and staff are amazing. They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. This is my second time staying at this hotel and they never disappoint. Location is great. Food is delicious with plenty of options to choose from. The rooms are clean and very well kept. I can’t say enough about this hotel. We traveled with friends and they couldn’t believe how much this hotel truly cares about it customers. The only thing I can say is that I wish I stayed longer.

We spent a week at this excellent hotel in the middle of July.Our room (Room 310) was excellent, with a westward facing private(ish) terrace that provided fantastic views over the Bay of Naples, including AMAZING sunsets.Food was also top notch. We went Half Board, which meant a typical buffet style breakfast with all the usual choices.Evening meals however were a la carte, with about 6 choices each for starter, main course and dessert.Snacks were available to purchase from a poolside bar at lunchtime. Prices for this were more than reasonable, as were the drinks prices.For a 50 room hotel, the pool was a monster, coming in at 23m x 12m making actual swimming an option.Sorrento itself is around 5 minutes away by a shuttle bus, which is provided free by the hotel and run on the hour every hour.Sunday Night is Gala Night..... Instead of the usual meal in the restaurant, everyone is seated around the pool and served a fantastic 4 course dinner with great service and great entertainment from a keyboard/percussion duo who we likened to Chas and Dave.....There is a local beach about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The downhill journey is relatively easy, but the return trip walk uphill is not for the faint hearted!!!! There are rides uphill available for 2 euros on a golf cart, although we didn't see one.If you are thinking about going on any trips/tours, I would suggest booking up early to avoid missing out. You can use the Tui App or the rep that visits twice a day. The rep will match any discount the App offers, although the App offers a cancellation option if you book then have second thoughts.The city of Sorrento is lovely. Make sure that you take up the Tui offer of a free walking tour. Its well worth it. There are plenty of shops and restaurants. Most of the shops seem to sell EVERYTHING relating to lemons, from clothing to bags, soaps, drinks, ice cream.... You are left in no doubt that lemons are a thing in Sorrento....Would I visit Sorrento again, yes. Would I stay at this hotel again, definitely yes.
