DRIVALIA Mobility Store

Rented a Fiat Tipo Station Wagon online at Leasys for our July holiday. Since we stayed a night in Napoli before our time in Amalfi, we decided not to rent a car at the airport as we did not want to take the car into town, but pick it up somewhere more quiet the day after our arrival.Our chosen pick-up point is also a dealership and the gentleman running the place was on his own on the Saturday morning we came to collect our car. Since he was busy with clients, we had to wait a little while, but the place is airconditioned and we were offered coffee.As you never get what you actually rent in Italy, I was slightly worried that we were appointed a car that was too small for all the luggage we carried. Of course the Fiat Tipo was not available, but we received a nice upgrade in the form of a Jeep Compass plug-in hybrid. The boot only just carried our luggage and we had to leave the parcel shelf behind, but this was written down on the rental papers by the gentleman. Although he did not speak a word of English, we managed to communicate through Google translate and he was most courteous.The car - that came with 3 plug-in cables - was very nice, although you can't plug it in anywhere at the Amalfi coast. Shame, because the roads and villages are perfect for electric driving. I assume Leasys (Fiat) rents out as many hybrids as they can so they can sell them for good money after their rental dues in the rest of Europe, where electric driving is more commonplace.We returned the car at Napoli airport and that was a different experience. Hot and crowded, and probably similar to the other rental companies, since they share a building.I read a lot of bad things about Leasys, but my experience was rather nice, thanks to the upgrade and the nice gentleman running the Mobility Store.
