We went on this tour on a free day in our Expat Tour. Sergio picked us up at our hotel and toured us around the Godfather villages. He was informative and friendly. He took us also to some catacombs that are off the tourist track. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning tea and lunch with panoramic views.We highly reccomend this tour and have also recommended Maretna to our Expat Tour Guide.

The best part of our entire trip to Sicily and worth every cent (and then some)! Sergio was more than a guide, he was (and is now) a friend who shared his love and passion for his homeland. We had such a fun day seeing special sites and going places only the locals would know, with local flavors and great conversations. We can’t recommend enough. Thank you Sergio and the whole family for an unforgettable experience!

We loved this tour! We had such a great time the first day visiting the caves and swimming in isola Bella that we booked for the next day as well. Very professional and on time and not many people on the boat. Also the crew was very nice and gave us fresh fruit after swimming. We were one of the few people on the boat so it was very enjoyable and great value for two hours swimming and on boat!

My daughter and my sisters family joined me in Sicily last November for a week in Taormina and Ortigia. Sergio served as our airport transfer and guide around Mt Etna and the Taormina area. He was excellent. He is great driver. He keeps his vehicle clean and safe. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, which he clearly loves. We we so lucky to have found him and I can recommend his services without hesitation. He will make your adventure in Sicily a very memorable and exciting time. Nous avons fait une escale en voilier très agréable dans la baie de Taormina. le site est magnifique et les gens sont très accueillants.Mais surtout, nous avons loué une voiture pour découvrir les petits villages perchés sur la route en direction de Messine. Nous avons aussi passé une journée exceptionnelle en montant à l Etna par le téléphérique et un bus 4*4.L accueil et le service du garage Gomme&Company qui nous a loué la voiture ont été excellents. La voiture était en excellent état, le prix très correct et sans surprise.mais aussi quelle gentillesse de la part de Tania et de son papa !Roland et Marie

My son, daughter, and myself recently spent a week in Sicily based in Taormina. We stayed in a lovely hotel there (Bellevue) and the concierge connected us with Sergio from the Maretna Experience to help us explore the island.We met Sergio who speaks English quite well and we never looked back. We ended up spending most of our trip with him! He took us to fabulous places we would never knew about. For instance-in one of the attached pictures we are standing in a location where the last major eruption of Mt. Etna occurred -and the lava flow came right up yo someone's back year and stopped. He also took us to an old Roman subterranean room where women used to wash clothes (under an active restaurant in Siracusa) - see attached photo. Of course he took us many of the sites where the Godfather II was filmed. (See the train station photo). We also had a fabulous day at Vulcano -part of the Aeolian Islands where he we met some locals who invited us to see their house!On a very practical note, I didn't have to drive (which frankly doesn't seem like much fun with the narrow roads and steep inclines). I also felt the fees were quite modest and we definitely got our money's worth. Sergio was punctual, charming, and very flexible for any changes we wanted to make. We also met his lovely and sweet fiance for dinner on the last night.I hope to return to Sicily and have Sergio show me some places we missed!Allen

My wife and I went to Italy for our honeymoon. We had an amazing time, with every day being seemingly better than the day before. That is, however, until we toured Mt. Etna with Maretna Tour Experience. Sergio picked us up at our hotel in Taormina, drove us all around Mt. Etna, and thoughtfully explained to us the cultural, geographical, and historical intricacies of the region. It was an amazing day from start to finish, and the highlight of our incredible two-week trip around the country. I cannot recommend Sergio or Maretna highly enough. If you are in or nearby Taormina for any amount of time, Maretna Tour Experience is a must.

We could not have asked for a better guide or a more beautiful day on and around Mt. Etna! (Dress warm for the top!) Sergio has so many amazing stories and knows all the best local spots. We had so much fun learning about the island, taking in the incredible sights, stopping for tastings at both a honey factory and a winery, and gaining a new friend. I could not recommend him enough. Sergio and this tour are a MUST on any trip to Sicily. Thank you for a beautiful experience and a very memorable day!
