Villa Sofia
We had some really magical moments in Villa Sofia in Specchia Gallone. We are a family of 9 people and chose to celebrate there the 80th birthday of my mom. The small town is peaceful and people are super hospitable and authentically friendly. The location is practically perfect and within 15-30min by car you have a variety of options for gourmet dining, beaches, cultural sites, entertainment. The first impression of the house is stunning: the simple and majestic elegance of the structure, the refined taste of the interior decor including hundreds of beautiful objects and furniture from all around the world, the cozy lay out of the garden and the pool. The experience of living it on a daily basis confirms the expectations: the pleasure of having breakfast with freshly baked bread and croissant (bakery at 3 min walking) in the clean air and quiet of the morning, the comfort of reading a book at sunset with swallows gently flying around, the fun of playing in the pool until night while getting delivered a 'royal' full 3-course dinner (don't miss the delicious pasta al forno) home-cooked by the mother of the owners of the bar next door. It is as well a great place to work peacefully in case you need to, while family and friends are enjoying the vacation.We will definitely love to come back and have already highly recommended Villa Sofia to all our friends!
