Apollon Art Studio

Apollon is by far the most skillful teacher I have ever encountered. He is immensely intuitive to the needs and thought processes of each of his students and effortlessly tailors classes to each individual. His interest in his students' education is genuine, his patience seemingly unlimited, and above all, it is clear that he enjoys teaching. His demonstrations were well thought-out and extremely beneficial, and his individual assessments always left one with a renewed sense of purpose and direction. Apollon inspires his students not only with his own skill as an artist but also through his obvious investment in his students' success.Christina manages the organization and schedule of the classes and does so exceptionally. Various incidents occurred during my stay in which students could not attend or missed classes and Christina never failed to find a way for them to make up the lost time. She was quick to respond to messages and eager to help in any way possible. We, the students, were always her priority. Her presence during classes was invaluable.I would recommend Apollon art studios to anyone, regardless of skill level, as it was clear that Apollon is just as apt at teaching beginners as he is skilled artists - and does so with equal respect. What I have learned and accomplished in the two months I spent at the studio is more than I could have ever hoped for, and it is entirely thanks to the efforts of this amazing couple.

Ho conosciuto Apollon e quest'anno 2021, caratterizzato per molti dalla mancanza di contatti sociali ed eventi culturali si è trasformato per me in un intenso apprendistato delle tecniche del disegno e della pittura a olio. Discreto come un angelo, Apollon donava i suoi insegnamenti come gemme preziose tratte dai tesori della sua esperienza artistica, con dedizione ha sussurrato nelle orecchie suggerimenti e pensieri che ancora risuonano in me ogni volta che riprendo il lapis per disegnare.

Ho fatto passi in avanti enormi in poco tempo grazie alle sue classe private (online) - spiega tutto quello importante per farti andare d'avanti, il contesto culturale, artistico, tecnico, pittorico: dal soggetto più basico a quello più esigente.Excellent art professor for painting, drawing, sculpture and artist. I made enormous steps forward in a short period thanks to his private classes (online). Apollon will explain you everything relevant from cultural, artistic, technical and painting context - from the most basic technical issue to the most complex question.

Apollon is an excellent teacher who loves his work and offers everyone a custom-tailored learning experience. I spent 3 weeks drawing and painting and I was thrilled to come to the studio every day. What I was able to produce in a short time exceeded my own expectations. And like most others, I can’t wait to go back!

I traveled to Florence in March 2023 to bask in Renaissance art and to attend a one-week intensive portraiture class at Apollon Art Studio. Small classes allow for Apollon to provide valuable personal and class instruction. I have taken the skills introduced and learned during that amazing week. It's been nearly two months and every day, I practice what Apollon taught us. He's patient and knowledgable and Christina is a delight, motivating us and encouraging us to pursue excellence. Next time I'm in Florence, I hope to bring my adult children for another amazing one-week intensive!

Thank you so much to Christina and Apollon, I followed classes for 3 months in this inspiring and warm studio.I arrived with no strong basics in painting and drawing and I’m leaving with more than I thought, a lot of knowledge and culture.Apollon is an excellent teacher and brilliant artist, endowed with strong knowledge and experience. He knows and masters the very old drawing and painting techniques that made me travel back in time. Moreover, he knows how to adapt himself to all levels, all personalities and shows great patience. He shows a lot of interest towards every student. Finally, he takes and accepts our art without judgement.Christina's presence adds even more positive vibes. She is an understanding person, brings valuable advice and knowledge.But she also demonstrates a very meticulous organization.Both make a good team and are very talented.Thank you to you both for your honesty, kindness and all your investment in your passion, thank you for making me feel at home in your studio and in Florence. If you’re able to take a class here, you absolutely MUST! I cannot recommend Apollon & Christina highly enough! Having loved portraiture but not painted in a few years, I was nervous about potentially entering an environment where everyone was at a very high level, the classes where intense, the teacher was strict etc. Well I need not have worried because my time at Apollon Art studio was absolutely wonderful! It is a very relaxed environment, and everyone I met was lovely and working at their own pace. They’re not a shred of competitiveness at all, only support for each other and I loved watching everyone progress over the week. Apollon is not only a very talented artist but a great teacher. He is patient, and dedicated to the individual needs of each student, no matter what their level may be. There is a great balance between learning new techniques and then employing those on your own piece, which he is always happy to help with. I could tell he was genuinely invested in the journey of each student and I was shocked at how much I was able to improve within the week. For me, it was a toss up between taking an intensive and a semi-intensive for a week, and I was very glad I went with the intensive. Every time we took a break for lunch I was excited to get back to the studio to continue painting and never felt like it was too much/too intense. Christina could not have been more helpful in our email communications before I enrolled, there was no question too small and she was kind enough to help me with some queries on accomodation that I had too. We must’ve sent 10-15 emails back and forth and she & Apollon made me feel very welcome from the moment I stepped in the studio. I’m already planning my next visit and course with the friends that I made during the week. If you’re able to take a class with Apollon I absolutely urge you to do so, but be careful as you will find yourself hooked on practicing the new skills you’ve learnt and itching to return! What first started as one month ended up being two!! This course is more than I expected !!! I learned not only art and technique, but it gave me the certainty that this is what I want to do always ! Apollon is an amazing teacher, and together with Christina his wife, they create the best place to learn, create and grow !!!!Can’t wait to come back and keep on learning at Apollons !!!!!!!!!!Lots of love from Mexico!Maite

Absolutely loved the week I spent learning watercolor. Christina was lovely and organized everything seamlessly. Apollon is an amazing teacher, patient and with great advice. Would have loved to extend the workshop, but unfortunately I had to go back home. Thanks again for the lovely time Christina and Apollon.

Apollon is the best art teacher I’ve ever had, by far. I’ve been learning to paint in oils since 2016 and have been with quite a few teachers. He’s the best! I’m so pleased with the paintings I achieved in one week with him.Apollon explains and demonstrates to each of us personally. There were only about four or five of us in my class so we all got heaps of individual attention. I felt there was all the time I could hope for, and more.Apollon is clearly very talented. It’s a joy to watch him demonstrate. I learned so much just watching. I felt well guided. He didn’t leave my post after his demo until I could clearly show I had understood and was working effectively.He is clearly an artist! He really knows what students need and is very dependable and kind in taking care of everyone.This art studio belongs to Apollon and his wife Christina. Both give the best of service.The art studio is well located in the very centre, it’s quiet, with good light and air conditioned! All much appreciated.I recommend this art studio and Apollon very very highly. He’s a superb teacher.
