Camping Polovnik

Great campsite and just a five minute walk into town.The showers and toilets were really clean and excellent condition. Showers cost 50cents for 4 minutes water was really hot.Only negative would be that there wasn't any where private to have a wash.Guys in reception were really friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English.Needed to do a wash load€4 took 32mins also a tumble dryer also €4.Looked at the other sites but this suited as we didn't want the water sport facilities and also nearer to town. Also €5 per night cheaper. Large pitches too.Don't let the road put you off was quiet at night.Definitely recommend.Would definitely stay here again.

Nice and clean camp site, short walking distance to the center of Bovec.You can find sunny and in-shadow slots too, as you wish.Staff are helpfull and super flexible.

Really friendly personal. Also helpful with any question/wish.Bathrooms are clean and OK for campers. Washing machine and dryer cost 4,- EUR.We spent about 1 week there during a event in Bovec.The restaurant next to the camping site is delicious and worth a visit. Next to that there's a path up to Bovec center, you can also use it to buy some food at the local supermarket - just about 10min by foot.We'll come again.

Really nice campsite. Clean facilities and plenty of them. Toilets, showers (need 50c pieces or can get change at reception). Nice shaded areas. Surrounded by mountains. Great location. Price is not too bad for this area which was appreciated.

Great camping. Located in the place from where you can walk and hike without using car. And literally 5 minutes from the centre Bovec. Wonderful nice service. Hot water in the showers and all amenities needed: electric plugs, washing machine, fridge - and beautiful views!

Very nice place to stay. Toiletes are clean and new, you can use a washing machine etc. The best thing here is the restaurant which offeres a Czech beer Staropramen for a reasonible price. The only thing that cost this camp a five stars review is extra charge 50 cents for a warm shower.

Decent campsite but no special views or anything. Good location near Bovec and staff was helpful when I couldn’t get a spot at the campsites along the river. Facilities were good but tent pitches could be quite close together and with no shade

Very convenient site if heading North out of Slovenia and reasonably priced. Rather disorganised with many pitches not clearly marked and necessitating long cables. Facilities a bit dated but plenty of hot water. Some road noise and next to pub/restaurant which was very handy but we did not use it. Great view of the mountains and starting point for a fantastic drive up the mountain pass into Italy and on to Austria.

Camp situated near a roundabout and the main road. Good accesibility for tourists and cyclists. 300/400m from the town centre. Nearest shop located approximately 100m. Pictueresque scenery. Only down side are the showers, you have to deposit 50 cents for four minutes of hot water. They are still in good condition though.

Pros… Super close to town and markets so it is very convenient. Affiliated with a local recreation agency so discount (~10%) prices are available for rafting, bike rentals, and more. Lots of pitch options that are very flat and comfortable. Good Wi-Fi that worked throughout the campground. Very quiet at night. Next to a really interesting small 16th century chapel that holds art exhibits here and there, but which is mostly locked. Clean.Cons… Not enough bathrooms, showers, charging lockers for number of guests. Strictly controlled water that leaves sinks running because you can’t turn them off. No common areas with seats and charging stations. The lockers for charging are next to a very stinky trash station so you don’t want to hang out there if you need to work, etc. next to a charging port. (This likely only matters to bike- and backpackers.) 50% of the charging lockers were missing locks so you had to stay nearby for safety in a really stinky area. It’s just discouraging when there are no hang out spots in a crowded camp.We had 3 nights here and they were fine. We loved that the camp was super close to town (7 mins max).
