Lido La Castellana

Piccolo bagno, ben curato e attrezzato, posto in una piccola baia con sabbia. Il ristorante prepara piatti semplici ma molto buoni con pesce freschissimo. Molto caro il tutto, ma sapendolo, ci si passa una bella giornata. Consigliato per i giorni in cui c'è molta affluenza negli altri bagni. Molto apprezzata, finalmente, la doccia non a pagamento.

Un’oasi incantevole, parcheggio privato, attrezzato con servizi molto puliti ed efficienti. Personale educato e giovanissimo. Buona ristorazione.Ci torneremo molto presto

Such a beautiful beach, great restaurant, and very friendly staff. The reason for 3 stars and why I will unlikely return is the following: 80 EUR for an umbrella and sun bed. This is just constructive criticism, I hope the management considers this, a nice lunch (for 2) at this beautiful establishment is around 200 EUR, so why charge for sun-beds (which do not even include a towel, that is an extra charge). Instead of charging 80 EUR for sun-beds, why not have a minimum spend of 100 EUR per sun-bed (200 EUR for two)? If this was the case I would be here every day, just my humble opinion. You are doing so much right and losing customers due to this small detail.

Great location, pretty exclusive. It wasn't busy (that is good..). Had lovely lunch, fairly priced for the location. Riccardo at the restaurant was super attentive. The parking (10 eur) seems too high. You can park nearby for less.

Sublime, On our first trip to the south of Italy and I couldn’t imagine a better place to be by the sea, paradise! The food, the view and the people. We had a wonderful time. The food was fresh and deliciousr.. Everything about the place was top notch. It really felt like our own private beach club. Never felt crowded or loud, chairs and amenities we clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend it.

We went to see it today but to be honest the beaches on the sea front at Otranto are hard to beat, sandy, clear water, lots of coffee shops and retail outlets and has the castle with all of the variety of restaurants and places of interest

Eccessivamente overpriced senza alcun perché. Un mare con un acqua da sogno MA se non necessitate di un lettino andare tranquillamente nella spiaggia libera perché c’è spazio per tutti e il lido non offre nessun servizio o accortezza particolare, anzi, nella spiaggetta più piccola la spiaggia è sporca e alle 5 arriva l’ombra e la giornata è terminata.Il parcheggio riservato ai clienti costa 10€, di nuovo senza un perché, quello a fianco ugualmente custodito viene 5€ e, all’inizio della via che porta al lido, i parcheggi sono addirittura gratuiti.Dunque mare top, ma preparatevi a pagare €60/€70 un ombrellone in un lido da €25/€30.

We came to this beach based on a recommendation from a travel blog that was been super accurate w their recommendations. I was worried about the negative reviews because it contradicted the description from the blogger’s experience. I feel the need to write a review to just break down why people seem so all over the place on their experience here. Bottom line is the chairs are overpriced for what you get. Too bad the owner is defensive about that rather than seeing the pattern of why folks feel they are overpriced. We have been to a handful of lidos this week so I have points of comparison in my mind. Many people are saying the staff is rude. I didn’t feel that way at all they were kind. They are stressed out and running around. They lacked leadership. These poor servers were clearly needing more help! The food was great no concerns there. They never brought one of our entrees and unfortunately it was impossible to flag down someone because they were so busy and running around. And when we did tell them no apologies but whatever they quickly took it off the check. I would have easily spent more money if someone was simply available to help us. The chairs were outdated and the shade thing kept falling down. If you are going to charge that much just step it up - hire more staff, modernize some amenities and don’t charge for things such a towel and parking! That’s what people are saying just show up as more of luxury lido. If you don’t want to do that simply charge a bit less and I bet you will see the bad reviews disappear. We went to a lido a few days previous that offered free parking, new chairs, towels and the staff asked me over and over what I needed. 50 dollars for 2 chairs and an umbrella. And I spent a lot of money there as a result!
