This tour with Riccardo was utterly fabulous, worth every penny we spent on it, and was hands down the highlight of our trip to Venice. As promised, he took us away from most of the tourists into some of the most scenic parts of Venice, showing us some truly unique locations along the way. I also appreciated how informative this tour was -- Riccardo gave a tremendous amount of information, including a pretty detailed introduction (in the shade before we started walking) of the history of Venice, how its canals and foundations were built, and a modern take on the evolution of the city. Along the way he told great stories and answered all of our questions. He was extremely generous with his time -- he ended up spending about 45 minutes longer with us than the tour promised, and took us up on the Terrace for an outstanding view at the end. (Note, this Terrace is not always available for his tours.) Perhaps what was most amazing -- and which I did not expect at all -- was the incredibly thorough and detailed email he sent us right after, listing all kinds of categories of places to eat and things to do in Venice, complete with Google Maps links showing you where they all are. This email was a GOLDMINE enhancing the rest of our stay in Venice. I simply cannot recommend this tour highly enough -- you will not regret it.

My wife and I had a wonderfull experience last week with Riccardo in Venice. While having experience with Photography, we were looking for a local photographer to help us visit non traditional places in this city. Riccardo was extremely professional. I had sent him a link on previous pictures we took there in the past so he looked for different places to visit. His explanations were always clear and full of details (he lives there). In addition, we really appreciated all the historical comments and explanations Riccardo gave us about the city. Finally, Riccardo gave us many excellent Food and Drinks recommendation to make our trip even better. The places he recommended were non touristic with excellent food and atmosphere. Thank you very much Riccardo and we recommend anyone (beginner to experienced photographer) to get in touch with you while visiting Venice.

This experience was excellent. Riccardo was so accommodating of my husband and I prior to arriving in Venice. He changed the start time of the tour to suit our personal needs. I was so grateful for this! Riccardo is a very friendly, warm and welcoming guide. His knowledge of his city is amazing! Throughout the tour, Riccardo was providing us with interesting facts and insights into Venetian life both past & present. By the end of the tour I was spotting architectural features which may otherwise remain overlooked. Riccardo is a very calm and open tour guide who is always happy to answer a question and stop for a photo opportunity. I would highly recommend this experience.

What an amazing experience! I strongly recommend you take this tour the very first day you’re in Venice. Riccardo is a professional guide and a photographer so he knows the secret good spots and, as a plus, will offer to take some pictures that capture the moment beautifully. He provides the right amount of information in a fun way. And THE LIST, oh the list… he’ll send it to you towards the end of your tour. It’s a carefully organized selection of the things to do and places to visit for the rest of your trip. Book in advance, especially for weekends.

I’ve traveled all over with my kids and I always get a private tour in every city we go to. I must say, Riccardo has been the best! Engaged my kids with historical stories and covered so many sites. All 4 of us enjoyed it so much that we booked another tour with Riccardo the next day to go to Murano and Burano. Very professional and was very easy to schedule and book. He even helped my son by teaching him about photography on the way. Great experience all around!

I'm a bit late with my review, but I wanted to give credit where credit was due, and Riccardo deserves a lot of credit for his work. Not only is he a great photographer, but he's also a very knowledgeable tour guide, with immense knowledge of Venice's many aspects and history. My only mistake was not booking his tour when I first got to Venice. His knowledge and direction and recommendations made my last day in Venice far more fulfilling, and I had a new appreciation for the sights I had seen but didn't fully understand. He made everyone in his group feel comfortable, and even taught us some photo hacks for our iPhones and Androids. I fully recommend a tour or a photo shoot, or both! with Riccardo. He's a good man with a lot of information and perspective of life in Venice and Italy that brings to life an already vibrant city/country.

Contacted Riccardo for a photo shoot with my daughter while visiting Venice. His communication was fantastic, and he met us on time at the appointed location. He was super entertaining, showing us some amazing side streets and quiet photo locations around Venice that otherwise we never would have found. The photos he took came out amazing, and we honestly could not be more pleased. What a great opportunity to remember our trip to Venice! Thanks so much Riccardo!

Ho deciso di fare questo tour anche se non era la mia prima volta a Venezia e sono stata più che felice della mia scelta! Riccardo é amichevole, paziente e pieno di conoscenza del mondo della fotografia e della sua città. Ho imparato molto e in un modo diverso e interessante. La sorpresa migliore però è stata aprire i file sul mio laptop. . semplicemente stupefacente! Per la prima volta stamperò le mie foto e le incornicerò!Grazie Riccardo, molto!
