Villa il Rossignolo

A wonderful historic Villa outside of Florence in the small village of Grassina. Let me describe our experience. The Villa is an old (the history goes back 600 years) traditional Italian Villa - which on its main floor has a core set of sitting/public areas (2 large rooms) and several other rooms as well (I never saw those rooms as they are rented separately). There is also a kitchen where breakfast is prepared and available each morning. (Cereal, pastries, toast, fruit, yogurt, tea, coffee etc). You have access to the public rooms, and outside where there are grounds, sitting chairs and a nice pool with lounge chairs. There is also an outside kitchen with a fridge and stove and basic utensils that you can use to store food and to cook/prepare afternoon and evening meals. This is not a hotel, but a very relaxing private / public accommodation. Our room had its own private bathroom as well. We loved our stay there, very relaxing, a great place to either hang out and/or use as a base to visit surrounding areas.Note - I think it is much better to have a car vs. trying to take the bus. And even though the mileage is close to Florence (4-5 miles) it takes between 25-30 minutes due to the narrow winding roads.Catarina is a wonderful host and was super gracious and accommodating.

Sono un'habitué del luogo ed è uno dei migliori posti della zona, immerso nel verde e nella campagna ma a due passi da Firenze. Oltre al parco, alla piscina, agli ulivi e alla splendida villa, l'atmosfera è familiare e accogliente perciò ci si sente veramente a casa. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, esperienza autentica.

Quelle déception !!Maison introuvable, pas de service, vous devez préparez votre petit déjeuner et il n'y a rien de bon, faire votre vaisselle, pas de clim comme prévue, dommage car le lieu est typiquement florentin mais n'est pas du tout entretenu, donc très mauvais rapport qualité prix !!

La villa è meravigliosa, ma trascurata internamente. Mi rendo conto che è molto difficile mantenerla, ma non corrisponde alle aspettative. I mobili sono tutti d'epoca e non hanno un odore piacevole, il materasso andrebbe decisamente sostituito e la camera dove alloggiavamo risultava buia, per mancanza di una adeguata illuminazione. Per il resto notevole da un punto di vista storico e architettonico. Ma il disappunto è soltanto dato dalla condizione manutentiva e della mobilia troppo d'epoca per risultare confortevole.

La villa è bella ma molto trascurata. Il servizio è scarso. La camera non aveva il bagno all'interno ma fuori in corridoio. La qualità è molto bassa rispetto al prezzo molto alto

Sentiment d'être pris pour un pigeon servant à l'entretien de la villa ! 180€/ nuit, une honte. Certesbelle maison, en façade mais très mal entretenu (fenêtres et volets ne fermant pas, portes sales, fermant avec un minuscule cadenas, bonde de douche cassée, dangereuse, je pourrais faire une liste !). Caterina est top à la réservation et à l'accueil, après, plus rien ! Nous devions avoir 2 lits séparés, nous n'en n'avons eu qu'un (proposition a été faite d'en rajouter un mais lit d'appoint donc on a laissé tomber). La salle de douche dans le couloir (non notifié). ne fermant pas de l'extérieur (accès à nos affaires), l'eau chaude très longue à arriver, quand elle arrive (2 douches froide) Les petits déj, en buffet: que des produits emballés de grande surface. Du pain à peu près frais 2 matin sur 3 et à faire griller dans un toaster à l'hygiène douteuse et dont la prise est à partager avec la bouilloire (180€ la nuit je rappelle !) pas de jus de fruits, pas de fait maison. La machine à laver noté dans les équipements est au sous sol, sale, nous avons fini au lavomatique du coin que nous conseillons. La piscine et ses abords pas entretenus, sales, bordelique, nous avons demandé des serviettes de piscine (non fournies ! et non obtenues..) et un nettoyage de surface que nous avons fait nous même. Aucun contact avec notre hôte (qui pourtant prône l'échange humain..) durant ces 3 jours, même pas un aurevoir, pire qu'un hôtel. Bref produit mensonger à fuir - Choses positives : parking, cuisine d'été, literie confortable. J'aurais aimé pouvoir dire tout ceci directement à l'interessée mais aurait-il fallu, pour cela, que je la croise !

Unfortunately for the price I can only give 1 star., adding 1 star bc host is very nice. For what you can get for same price I'd recommend to search nearby.Cons: no room heating (its central and apparently illegal to turn on heating in April...we were cold in the night), kettle provided but plug did not fit so you have to go down to the kitchen to heat up water, in general no EU plugs worked here. didn't eat breakfast but it;s just grab and go snacks. the room we had the bathroom was outside the room (non shared but still inconvenient). hard to find on Google maps and have to use special pin. This is more Airbnb vibe than hotel.Pros: host was very welcoming and available upon check-in. Room/bathroom was clean.

Casolare delizioso, ben tenuto, ricco di storia ma non solo. Accoglienza gentile e calorosa, ottimo prodotti.
