This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Italy. Mattia was an outstanding guide and the food was amazing. One of the best lunches ever.

Taste Bologna - Bologna Food Tour
We had a wonderful food tour with Taste Bologna on October 21. Our guide was well informed and brought the city to life. They explained the evolution of the eating experiences in the city and the uniqueness of the food shopping in the Quadrilatero. We got to try making our own tortellini and tasted many of the local specialties within an historic local wine bar.Highly recommend booking your own experience with Taste Bologna.

Despite rain, Matthia’s tour kept us mostly dry, well fed, and well informed. His English is very good, he was knowledgeable and a great host to the deliciousness of this city.I learned a lot about this breadbasket of Italy, how to make a tortellino and many other gustatory delights. Thanks for a memorable day!

Taste Bologna - Bologna Food Tour
Great tour for our first day in Bologna. It gave us an overview of the main square and the special foods of the Bologna region. Marco was an excellent guide for hometown. He was knowledgeable about the food and the vendors we saw. He explained what to look for and expect, as well as recommendations of other places to try. I’m not sure how far you walk—maybe a mile in total, and some of it is on uneven or cobbled ground, in case you have mobility issues.

A great tour led by wonderful Loredana.We heard interesting stories, had delicious tastings (great variety of tastes) starting with coffee through fresh market goods and wrapping up with amazing ice cream. Loredana was patient and pleasant with a lot of knowledge, and gave us some recommendations upon requests for the surroundings. Great value for money!!!

We LOVED our tour with Taste Bologna! We were recommended to do one and worried it would be a bit touristy but it was not at all, it was absolutely worth it and more than worth the money. Our guide was Maria and she made the tour informative, interesting and fun. It was amazing to have someone who had such a depth of knowledge of Italian history leading our tour! We learnt a lot about the food we were trying, the culture, and the history of Bologna. It really was the perfect way to learn about the city and its food over four hours. Oh and they accommodate gluten free! 10/10

Maria was outstanding! Usually when you see this many 5 star reviews , it could be suspicious. But they are all well- earned. Definitely worth the time and money. You will learn about Bologna history and taste amazing food. Bravo!
