I have been in a process with key2people that I ended up not pursuing as the timing was not right. I was asked by the team if I can recommend a different person (to which I was told I would get a referral compensation). I took the time, opened up my network and made a recommendation. I also jumped on multiple calls with the team and tried to help as best I can. The person I recommended was hired, however, I never heard back from key2people and when I contacted them I was told that referrals fees are not common in Italy even though I was told I would be compensated. The company they recruited for is based out of the UK and I am based out of Germany. I found this move to be extremely unprofessional for a company like this and I would personally refrain from doing any business with them in the future or recommend their services.
