Trattoria Al Moro
I notice the critics call it great classic Italian food so am reluctant to give a food rating as I found it difficult to critique. Otherwise service was aggressive and the wine menu is just silly (a big book that is difficult to read). We needed gluten free options and got another book that we had to cross reference. I agree with other reviewers that food is average and too overpriced. It advertises itself as fine dining but definitely a more Italian traditional atmosphere involving cramped spaces. On settling the bill I got called out by the waiter for not paying a service tip (but isn’t that the tourist cover charge that’s already on the bill). Not in a hurry to return.

Really good variety and authentic Italian options. Great tasting dishes to share and enjoy. Above all the service is fantastic and definitely worth the long wait time to get seated.

Trattoria Al Moro
Love the atmosphere of this place but it was overpriced for an average tasting food. Ordered a fried plate and there were three pieces, one was not properly plated and i couldn’t even eat it because the paper underneath were attached to it. I was actually shock to see the small portion for 7€ and they weren’t even good. Porcini pasta was quite good though (as it should). Service was attentive and the waiter was friendly for me. However, knowing the reputation of this place, the food and experience were disappointing to me.

Trattoria Al Moro
Excellent service and original Roman cuisine. This was our favorite restaurant in Rome. We had everything that our camariere recommended. The pasta Al Moro was superb, the carciofi a la romana nothing that you can compare to, la amatricciana…It was my moms birthday, and we even sung “tanti auguri a te” thanks to the staff. Excellent wine and limoncello recommended.

Trattoria Al Moro
Most genuine trattoria in Rome. It’s always packed with people and you certainly need to make a reservation to find a table. Staff is very polite. Huge variety of food and dishes in the menu and the wine list is a huge book that certainly makes you need some support from the waiters in order to find something close to your taste. The dishes even though not decorated like in a fancy restaurant (since you are in a trattoria) have great portions and are extraordinary and very tasty. In general the prices are really good given that you are in the heart of Rome and will eat genuinely great Italian food

Trattoria Al Moro
As authentic as it gets.Great food.On the expensive side.Don’t come here acting like a stupid tourist asking for parmesan on your Vongole or you won’t be respected - fantastic.

Trattoria Al Moro
This is a Roman institution, the best carbonara ( Al Moro) iv ever had. The artichokes and roastedPorcini’s are next lvl. Service was as expected- good and respectable. Save room for desert, the berry tart and chocolate egg custard is amazing.Being a chef myself I know how much things cost to produce and the quality is 100% there. A plate of roasted porcini’s cost 30 euro/ but there the best iv ever had— they cost over 50$ a pound to purchase so what do you expect to pay…Ignore the bad reviews for this place because it’s a must visit when in Rome. It’s that goodFYI it’s located within stone throw of the foundation. Unfortunately a target for pickpockets etc. don’t leave your belongings or purses out and about. Use common sense. The restaurant can’t do anything for you there. Unfortunately it happens

Back at it again!!When we first dined at @almororoma back in 2018 when we visited Rome, it left us with quite the impression that we just had to come back and it did not disappoint! There are a few plates missing as we just couldn’t wait.Pictured:~ Tagliatelle with butter and white truffle sauce~ Spaghetti with tomatoe and basil~ Caprese Salad~ Strawberry custard cake~ Profiterole (Cream puffs)Dishes that we devoured before the camera had a chance to snap a shot:~ Veal Meatballs with mash potatoes~ Bucatini with butter and Parmesan~ Zabaione (I hope I spelled this right)The pastas here are TO DIE FOR!And that strawberry custard cake was so good we actually ordered another!

Trattoria Al Moro
Situated in the bustling heart of the city, Trattoria al Moro could easily be mistaken for just another tourist centered restaurant. But do not be fooled - this establishment sets itself apart with its top-tier quality and incredibly fresh seafood. An absolute must try is their spaghetti alle vongole and prawns. These dishes are exceptional, boasting robust flavors and impeccable preparation. Moreover, the restaurant shines in its rendition of Roman classics. The Roman-style artichokes, in particular, are among the best you could find - tender, flavorful, and delightful down to the last leaf. So, if you're looking to indulge in high-quality Roman cuisine amidst the city's tourist center, Trattoria al Moro is the perfect destination.

Trattoria Al Moro
Great food, terrible service.Waiters are absolutely rude. There is no more space for this kind of service. Respect the client and treat them well.Education, politeness and patience with the customer. My waiter told me 4 times that the service was not included during lunch.Pathetic.
