Nice church in Naples.

If you're an English speaking Christian visiting Naples looking for a church to attend, there are few choices available if you do not speak Italian. Christ Church in Naples conducts its whole service in English so it is an option for consideration. When I visited I was greeted with quite loud guitar music as I arrived at the church 20 minutes early hoping to enjoy some sweet fellowship with other Christians before the service. This was all but impossible because 'the band' was warming up and drowned out any conversation which I might otherwise have had. I felt like leaving, but as I had already traveled an hour to get to the church I decided to stick it out.This church epitomises much of what is wrong with modern day evangelicalism with compromises and umbilical practices in virtually every department. And as if that wasn't enough, it is quite an unfriendly church as well, if you happen to attend as a visitor which I did recently over the Christmas period.In all fairness it has to be said that the message did have some significant and helpful points, but the beauty, wonder and simplicity of the gospel was all but buried beneath a heavy veneer of anglicanism and subjugated by contemporary worship music which dominated the whole service. There was therefore little food for the soul to be had at this church when I visited.Sadly I could not and would not recommend this church and left the service strongly wishing that I had stayed at my hotel and spent the morning reading and praying on my own.

I attended a wonderful Christmas Eve service. Warm welcome, inspiring sermon and beautiful atmosphere. A nice feeling of being at home with Christ’s family here in Naples.

Semplicemente stupenda chiesa anglicana che non ti aspetti di trovare il un quartiere di Napoli così affollato e pieno di palazzi. Ci passi davanti e rimani incantato dalla sua bellezza. Non sono riuscito ad entrarci ma conto di farlo appena ritornerò a Napoli. Assolutamente da non perdere
