FUA-AUF | Florence University Of The Arts - The American University of Florence

I had the best time studying Italian cooking and language at this school. The housing was centrally located and introduced me to friends that I still keep in touch with 15 years later. All of the teachers were so kind, passionate, and hospitable. Florence is the perfect location, and my class schedule allowed for a healthy balance of classes and free time to explore the city. I returned recently for Alumni Week and had just as much fun. The food, art, history, architecture, and people made it an amazing trip both times.

My study abroad program at the Florence University of the Arts was one of the best experience I've had so far. Three weeks of meeting new friends, connecting with great professors, and enjoying the Italian experience was definitely something I would never forget.Special thanks to Professor Marco De La Pierre, my Human Resource Management teacher at FUA. I learned so much about HRM in 3 weeks from his class, he makes his lecture so interesting by giving a lot of real-life examples of his work as the owner of DotFlorence Web Agency. We also visited the Boutique Hotel and The Student Hotel in Florence to learn more about their business and how they take care of their human resource management. Professor De La Pierre also care about the growth of each and every one of his student. I can say for sure that he helped me to be a better student and a better person

It's been 10 years since I studied abroad at FUA and I think about that time everyday. I especially loved how we were learning and interacting with the community around us. They provide hands-on experience and education like no other.

My experience at FUA has allowed me to grow in my interests and within myself. I specifically enjoyed my advertising class surrounding the premise of “Made in Italy”. The professor, Marco, is incredibly passionate on this topic and his enthusiasm for the subject makes learning incredibly entertaining. If you have interest in design and are planning on studying in Florence, FUA has a lot to offer you

My experience at FUA was incredible. I studied there for 15 weeks, I had wine, Italian, Intercultural Commutation classes but also a Creative Advertising of Italian Destination class which was wonderful and it allowed me to capture the essence of Made in Italy. The professors are very mindful, supportive and passionate about their field. It was amazing !

I studied at FUA for the spring, summer and fall semesters at FUA to receive a hospitality concentration in 2019. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. The professors, staff and faculty are beyond supportive and go at lengths to make sure you'll get the most out of the city and the academics.Two classes I particularly enjoyed were Cost Control and Hospitality Accounting with Marco Delapierre. He was an amazing professor who was very insightful and passionate about his courses and his students. I'll always remember our class projects and excursions that he took us on across Florence. In these classes, as well as all my others, our lessons were always connected to first-hand hospitality experience in school properties, city experiences and internships.I'm so grateful to all of the people who left such an impression on me at FUA and I hope to return and see them again someday soon!

I have spent 7 weeks as a student at FUA and have had a great experience. The facilities are very clean and well located within the center of Florence. I have taken 2 courses at FUA. A one-week cultural introduction and a 6-week 6 credit course. Both of my professors were funny, engaging and helpful. My classes were unique, informative and very enjoyable. The staff at FUA are always energetic and available to help. Mattia in admissions has been both approachable and available to answer questions and concerns. I would recommend FUA to anyone wanting to have an easy adjustment to a new culture and environment.

I studied at the Florence university of arts for 15 weeks and it was the best experience of my life! At this university you will have great relationships with the professors as well as the staff at FUA. I studied business here and was able to learn a lot about the business world within Europe.

FUA is a fantastic establishment that has taught me a variety of different lessons regarding hospitality and the Italian culture. They made my study abroad transition seamless and a very easy adjustment. The staff has been extremely helpful with showing us the city and relating our lessons back to real life examples. All of my classes are very compelling and provide me with a challenging yet exciting course load. I will be able to take the lessons I have learned here and apply to them to both my future academics and professional career. Overall, my experience here at FUA has been fantastic and I am looking forward to the rest of the semester!

FUA is an amazing college that attracts many students pursuing a career in business, culinary, and fashion. As a study abroad student taking hospitality courses, I have been thoroughly impressed by the curriculum and the staff. Every staff member is very friendly and extremely helpful. The university housing is in safe and convenient locations as well. I would definitely recommend studying at this university if Florence is your city choice.
