Our family of 5 had an absolute blast working with Chef Andrea. He accommodated their different palates and we all learned a ton about cooking Italian food and cooking in general. My three young boys really liked him and the lesson. And he gave us restaurant recommendations too!Two pieces of advice for my fellow google maps review readers: 1) pick THIS cooking class; 2) ask lots of questions because you’ll never have an opportunity to learn more about cooking and especially Roman cuisine!

This was my second time cooking with chef Andrea and he did not disappoint! He’s funny, knowledgeable about the region and local cuisine and gave us the best highlight of our vacation! I will definitely return on future trips. Hands down, this is the best experience in Rome! Grazie mille Andrea!

Cooking with Chef Andrea Consoli was an amazing experience and was one of the highlights of my two-week trip to Italy. A cooking class with Andrea is a MUST-do experience when visiting Rome. From the moment I walked into the Cooking School, I felt welcome as Chef Andrea greeted me as if I was an old friend. I felt lucky that day to have a warm and friendly group to spend the day with, which I enjoyed as I was traveling alone.During the class, we got to know one another, laughed a lot, and learned a lot about the recipes that we were going to make. Andrea is very knowledgeable about food quality and its effects on the body, which was right up my alley as an Integrative Nutritionist.Throughout the day, we got to know one another as we prepared a delicious meal that I thoroughly enjoyed while sampling different wines and aperitifs. Andrea continued to make us feel at home, and at the end of our meal, we tasted Andrea’s homemade jams; he spent more time just talking with us and did not rush us out.I recommend this class to anyone visiting Rome who wants to learn about good Italian cooking from a knowledgeable and passionate Chef.Chef Andrea did a great job engaging us and teaching us, he is not only skilled in the kitchen, but he also has deep knowledge about food and people, which showed throughout this experience!

We had very high expectations for the private cooking class with Chef Andrea and the experience we had was even better than expected! It is hands down the best thing we did in our honeymoon in Italy and we would recommend this class with Chef Andrea to anyone who has love and respect for food or culture. My husband and I booked a class online through the website. After making the booking request, Chef Andrea and my husband then had several rounds of communication preparing for the class. We related to him our preferences on the dishes we would like to make and the Chef patiently and attentively gave us his feedback and suggestions. A tailor made four course menu was then settled! Finally, it was the highly anticipated day of cooking class! Upon arriving at the venue, we liked it so much already. A cozy little restaurant and store front with different lovely personal decorations. Towards the back of the restaurant, a door led us to a bright and spacious kitchen. Chef Andrea has already laid out an arrangement of ingredients we would be using for the class. The cooking instructions were clear and informative. We learnt and we had fun. Chef Andrea was energetic and charming. He shared cooking anecdotes and tips as we went through the steps. It is these little things that we couldn't learn from an online recipe or YouTube video. After the cooking was completed, Chef Andrea very kindly served us the food we made in the dining area. The food was delicious, my personal favourite was the fresh pasta which was like no other. The setting and the atmosphere was very lovely. This is perhaps the most romantic meal my husband and I had during our honeymoon in Italy. What we love most about the class is getting to spend time with Chef Andrea, not only to learn how to cook, but to understand more about the Italian culture. We are grateful to Chef Andrea for teaching us how to make such wonderful food, and spending some very precious hours of his after class chatting about the very different lives and cultures we have in Rome and in Hong Kong. Chef Andrea also gave us some pointers of places we could visit after the class which we did and those locations, which were not on your usual tourist tracks, were also great and interesting. Thank you for everything! We genuinely love our time with Chef Andrea and hope to visit again one day. Also, don't forget to get some of the homemade jam there, we gave some as souvenirs to our friends in Hong Kong and they love it too.

Cooking class with Andrea was one of our favorite experiences in Rome – we highly recommend this for anyone that wants to learn about Roman cuisine (or if you just want to have fun). Andrea is warm, charming, knowledgeable and able to create an environment that is suitable for everyone’s needs. We had a diverse group, some who just wanted to have fun (and eat good food) and some, like us, who really like to learn the ins and outs of whatever we are making. Andrea can accommodate everyone in a way that makes it interesting and inviting for all involved. In addition, we love classes where you show up and a big table of produce and ingredients are waiting for you that within a few hours turns into a true “dining experience”. It’s even more fun when you see multiple wine glasses on your table, which means you will be enjoying pairings with the food as well. All the dishes we made were wonderful and Andrea was kind enough to take our request on learning to cook artichokes, which were in season at the time. If you are looking for a fun and learning experience, we can highly recommend this class!

Andrea is an amazing chef! He selected local, fresh ingredients, told us what to look for in authentic local Italian cuisine and helped us prepare an amazing meal. This was the first time in my life I had artichoke and it was amazing. Highly recommend this experience !

Cooking Classes in Rome
Cooking with Chef Andrea was the highlight of our entire trip! I signed myself and four friends up for this class not knowing what that expect. It truly exceeded any expectations I had. As five 22 year old girls that have no idea how to cook, Chef Andrea made cooking fun and super easy to learn. I don’t think I stopped smiling or laughing the entire class. It was so nice to get to know Chef Andrea and his wife and the meal we made was truly amazing. He is able to accommodate many different diets. We had two people who could not eat gluten and a vegetarian and he went above and beyond to make sure they could enjoy everything we made! We made 7 courses and every single bite was amazing. Chef Andrea is genuine, kind, and funny which made the class so amazing. His wife is incredible and so sweet. I could not recommend this class any more. I plan on telling everyone I know who is planning a trip to Rome to take this class! It is worth every penny!

Such an amazing experience with Chef Andrea! He taught us about the seasonality of the ingredients we used and how they are different in reach region of Italy. We learned how to cook meals that were incredible yet simple enough to recreate at home and had a great time tasting and sipping Prosecco along the way.At the end of the class you sit down to enjoy your hard earned meal and chat with your other group members. We can’t wait to come back each time we are in Rome and maybe even take a virtual class!I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Rome!!

We had a fantastic group cooking class with Chef Andrea when we were here in October. We made an appetizer, primi, secondi, and dessert. Chef Andrea even provided gluten free pasta for my husband who can’t have gluten. He also provided different wines with each course! My favorite part of the class was learning how to make fresh pasta. We would love to return next time we’re in town!

If I could give this 10 stars I would! Chef Andrea's class came recommended by a family friend, and was easily the most incredible experience we had while in Rome. We had such a blast working in the kitchen under the guidance of Andrea, who helped steer us every step of the way. We all learned so much about ingredient selection, technique, and Italian cuisine as a whole. Each course we made was unique and delicious (especially the carbonara)! Andrea was also extremely accommodating of dietary restrictions and making sure the meal could be fully enjoyed by all.Beyond the food, what made this experience so special was getting to know Andrea who is a great chef and a wonderful human being. Incredibly friendly, hospitable, accommodating, and insightful, he left a lasting impression on us all and made this an experience that we will never forget.
