Nice train station, great location and has restaurants just outside

After Milan, Florence is the second such station which I loved because of the heritage and history it carries. The station was originally opened in 1848, one of the oldest in the world. Its older side, the Southern side was opened in 1934 while the Northern side was inaugurated in 1992. The station is used by 59 million people every year and is one of the busiest in Italy.You can spend some time in enjoying it is beautifully crafted infrastructure and the well spread out corners. It is an absolute delight to travel in such well maintained piece of heritage throughout Italy.The terminus has both traditional and high speed trains. It also houses multiple food joints. It has enough ticket counters, both self & manual. Be aware of the thugs raoming around to help you book tickets, do not go by their words and book your tickets yourself.

Took a solid 12 mins fast walk from the train station hall to this bus stop. Walking outside, along the train station and then two crossroads. Not recommended with luggage or during rainy days.

Booked a bus tour to Siena and other areas in Tuscany, this is the assembly point. First, all will have to register the tour at the Bus Tickets Kiosk"

Easy to get around. Helpful people in the station. They are wearing vests that show that they’re from the train companies.

Unclean and dirty

Desembarcando nesta estação você estará bem no centro de Florença e do lado da primeira grande catedral construída lá, a Catedral de Santa Maria Novella. É um local movimentado, mas fica muito fácil ir caminhando dali até a Catedral de Santa Maria Del Fiori para ver o maravilhoso Domo construído por Brunelleschi.
