Overal it was pretty ok.We hired a car before we travelled there and I filled-in most paperwork upfront already. When I arrived to pick up the car I was scared to death.. There was a line of 30+ people and only 2 man at the desk, which were not working fast at all - at least it looked that way. Luckily I had filled-in all paperwork upfront after I received an e-mail in the week before, were you can get priority check-in when you fill in most of the paperwork online before you arrive. So, now I had gotten priority check-in therefore and I could skip the queue. Otherwise, I had to wait 1/2 hours or so. I can really recommend that you fill in all the needed paperwork upfront which will save you valuable time!When I picked up the car there was some hazzle and they told me I had to wait a couple of times. After some calls and a lot of discussing they had arranged another type of car for me, which was also fit for our purpose. The total price was a bit high, but ok. Overall it was a good experience.

Terrible experience. They initially said that my car was almost ready, after 20 minutes I asked again and they clearly forgot about me. This cycle repeated multiple times resulting in me waiting for over 3 hours while other people came and went. The employees were rude, acting like I was in the wrong to ask when the car would be ready why they said it was only going to be a couple minutes. I have seen at least 4 employees go on lunch break and pass it on to the next with little to no care. In the end they just ignored our reservation charging us more than what we booked for, basically saying we could wait longer to pay our agreed rate or pay $250 more to leave now.

The pick-up was fast and smooth. Even that there were about 10 clients before me, i got my car in 15minutes. The same on car return; easy, fast and smooth. The guy that were at the return section was very chill, communicative and smiley. I got a brand new Tesla Model 3 that was very clean and very beautiful. As a Gold Member of Hertz and a very happy client, I will return very soon.

Pretty hopeless car rental. Waited about 3 hours to get checked in and be given the car, despite arriving on time for the booked start time of the rental. Vehicle was fine, drop off was better but still slow. Then hit with a load of unexplained charges to my credit card which I am now disputing as no explanation has been provided. Terrible service and unexplained additional charges - this was the first time I have used Hertz and I will never be using them again.

poor service, no one giving you the main instructions of the car you rent (mine was a Chinese car) , no one replying on the standard phones which mentioned on their tickets and their web, wrong mentioned instructions of their parking through Google maps, I am still waiting for the invoice which I had request in my order's form. Really was a disappointment!!! good condition of the car

Was nervous about renting a car in Italy. Pretty easy through Hertz. Be prepared to understand where you’re going upon exiting. Returning was pretty easy. Well marked but signs were hard to see before passing. For Hertz, parking garage A on the second floor is where you return. It’s a little confusing but can be figured out. Very simple return once the car was parked.

Easy and trouble free car rental.Just, make sure to familiarize yourself with the physical rental location, if you are returning the car back to Fiumicino.It took me a bit of time to find the right entrance when I returned my car.Overall, great service and customer support.

Be very careful when hiring a car here.This morning they cheated and I overpaid 570€.They asked me if I wanted full insurance. I said no, since I had my own insurance.The guy at the counter however, charged me the full insurance fee and lied to me, saying it was just a deposit". He consciously lied and cheated because I asked him to confirm it was just a deposit before typing my VISA pin code. And he lied.Be very careful. Very corrupt people here."
