Ferry was delayed by 6:30 hours. Arrival at 5am in the morning instead of 10:30pm in Patras. The booked hotel was wasted money. Check in in Venice is extremely inefficient. You have to show ticket and passport again and again. Very poor organised. No electronic signs where to go to get to the right ferry. No digitalization, just paper tickets. The employ a lot of unmotivated staff.

Ottimo approdo per raggiungere alcune destinazioni turistiche. Tipo sud Italia e Grecia. Sarebbe apprezzabile migliorare l'organizzazione del terminal

Review in respect of check-in and embarkation at Venice-Fusina onlyVery poor, badly-organised and inefficient check-in.If at all possible, check-in the day before, double-check the sailing time, and be prepared to change your plans for the day of departure in case of alterations to departure time. From Mestre, a taxi - the only sensible option for foot passengers with luggage - cost €30 during the daytime of a working day.I had had an accident a couple of days before sailing and had reduced mobility. Because this was a recent incident, I had not been able to inform the company at the time of booking. Nor had I seen any way of informing them at on-line check-in or by e-mail in advance. I had to wait 75 minutes in a queue for actual check-in (why is this even necessary when you've already checked-in on-line?!). Other passengers - not Anek/Superfast staff nor port staff - found a chair for me while waiting outside, but I had to stand for c 30 minutes inside. The man at check-in said he could offer no help in getting from the check-in building to the ferry or in boarding. I think this is in contravention of EU regulations on making adaptations for people with disabilities (though I'm no expert in the law here, I'm afraid). He should at least have been apologetic that little or no help could be offered, and tried to do what something to assist, I feel. Other reviewers have noted this inefficiency and disorganisation at check-in and unmotivated and rude staff - Anek/Superfast management: stop abusing your near monopoly position and do something about this!Later, the port staff did find a car to drive me to (closer to) the ferry, and staff at the security point helped with my luggage for the scanner. Crew on the ferry were helpful with taking my bags from the foot-passenger entrance to my cabin - this upgrades the review from 1* to 2*

We travelled with ANEK as foot passengers from Venice to Corfu. We genuinely enjoyed the journey, but were on the newer Olympic Champion so if you are on a different line/vessel your experience may be different. Our cabin was great, with a small, clean bathroom and shower, and also a small fridge. The beds were genuinely comfortable, and the engine noise quiet enough that we slept without any problems. The swimming pools and one of the restaurants were closed on our journey, but there was good food in the canteen so it wasn't really a problem. The major faults, though, are in ANEK's messaging. The ferries don't leave from Venice Port (and let's be honest, nor should they) but from Fusina, a small port terminal down the coast. You'll see the word Fusina on your ticket, but this won't mean anything to most people, especially not if you've not driven into Venice, as most people don't. So, we spent a few hours of our last full day in Venice reading google reviews of the port verifying that, yes, we did need to get to this port, and no, there's not a lot of information anywhere online about how to get there from Venice, least of all on ANEK's website. As another review mentions, your best option is to simply go to Piazzale Roma and take a taxi. Our driver was with the radiotaxi company, was friendly, and even better knew exactly where we were meant to be going. He even pointed out our ship as we were driving out of Venice over the bridge to the mainland. It cost €50, which was worth not having to worry about it any more. There might be some other options via train and bus; I wouldn't risk it. Nor would I try the 16 water bus from Zattere, which nobody seems to know about and which looks to drop you in Fusina some distance from the port, and so would require you to walk the last kilometer or so alongside a busy road with no pavements, potentially in very hot weather and with suitcases.Had we been given all of this information from ANEK beforehand, it would have saved a lot of worry and we'd've had a perfect experience.

Boarded the Eureka, if i remember correctly, and it was one of the best ferry trips i had. The boat was in good shape, clean, and not overbooked so you had space to sit and walk around, and most importantly kids could play around without us parents being worried. 4bed cabin was roomy and well maintained, clean too. I wish i could have this ferryboat for every trip from/to Italy/Greece.

We recently traveled as pedestrians on two ANEK ferries, from Venice to Patras and from Patras to Bari. Bottom line: once you figure out how to check in, the crossings are excellent.ANEK inexplicably fails to inform passengers where their terminals are. We spent most of a day in Venice finding the ANEK port (it's in an insanely industrial zone in Fusina) and how to get there (the bus is useless for this trip, best to take a 45€ taxi from Piazzale Roma). ANEK's website offers no guidance on getting to the ferry port other than the port agent" (whatever that means) is in Fusina. Google will suggest taking the the number 16 vaporetto. But if you go to the Zattere stop

I’ve been travelling many years with Anek, but slowly getting the feeling that the food is not so good as it used to be, and the general service of attention has dropped. The inflation has taken it’s toll and so it’s a costly adventure instead of a cheap way to travel. All in all on decline both on service as well as amenities.

Efficient and easy to use layout. Bring a reflective shade for the front screen of your vehicle, and plenty drinking water. You could be in a queue for up to two hours if you check in early
