Olive Tree Hostel

The Olive Tree is an affordable hostel that is perfectly fine to stay at. The location is good, close to the train station and 10 minutes walk from the old town. The staff is varying degrees of helpful. I arrived in the morning to drop off my bags and had to wait till the afternoon to check in. The girl that showed me the map in the morning basically just drew a line to show me where the old town was, which was not really useful. Later when I came back to check in a different woman was there and she went over the map with me again with great detail and all kinds of suggestions and ideas. Overall the hostel was clean. At times a bit dirty but that's the fault of other travelers not having manners and not really the hostel's fault. They had lockers with locks and keys provided for free. As other reviewers mention, the doors to the individual rooms do not lock. This is the first time I've ever encountered this in a hostel. There are 3 bathrooms/showers (individual, meaning only one person can use each one at a time) for the whole hostel so mornings might get competitive. I recommend showering in the afternoon or evening. Overall a nice stay and I'd come back again.

The best: the kitchen. A lot of common things and space to cook. The service is also good, they don't care if after the check out you stay for a bit in the balcony or other spaces. The hostel is pretty safe and the location is amazing, super near the train station. The worst: the noisy beds.

LOVED IT! Excellent place to stay, great staff and the owner David is SO NICE. I really had a great time and will definitely come back. The hostel was clean and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious. The little garden is beautiful and at night looks lovely with the wee lights on.

Vicino alla stazione a piedi e anche al centro storico ci arrivi a 10min.a piedi... Personale molto brave accogliente e sorridente. Mangiato molto bene da Nicolaus pescheria in via Vittorio Emanuele però da arrivare presto perché posto piccolo e self service per preparare il tavolo e per ordinare..

Passato una notte .ottima come posizione per raggiungere sia il centro che la stazione gli ambienti sono puliti .trovo un po alto il prezzo vista la soluzione di servizi ma nel complesso sono stato bene

The best B&B in Bari at the lowest price. A few minutes walking from Bari Central Station and the Metro from/to airport. A few minutes from the historic center and the sea. Close to bars, restaurants, banks, shops of all kinds, launderettes, gardens, cinemas, theatres, museums, libraries, internet points and much more.Although there is a lift, it is not ideal for those requiring a wheelchair. It also offers the use of a beautiful internal terrace for moments of relaxation. Excellent reception in English. You receive all the strategic info to get around or eat well in the city or what to visit in Bari and beyond. Sometimes fun and cultural tours are offered with free donations. It does not have a reserved parking space. If you travel with a bike you can arrange to bring it up with you. Beautiful experience!- - - -Il miglior B&B di Bari al minor prezzo. A pochi minuti a piedi dalla stazione Centrale di Bari e dalla Metro da/per l'aeroporto. A pochi minuti dal centro storico e dal mare. Vicino a bar, ristoranti, banche, negozi di ogni tipo, lavanderia, giardini, cinemi, teatri, musei, biblioteche, internet point e tanto altro.Benché ci sia un ascensore, non è l'ideale per chi necessita di una sedia a rotelle. Offre anche l'utilizzo di una bella terrazza interna per momenti di relax. Ottima reception in inglese ed il mattino anche in italiano. Ricevi tutte le info strategiche per muoverti o mangiare bene in città o cosa potere visitare a Bari e non solo. A volte sono offerti tour divertenti e culturali con libera offerta. Non dispone di un parcheggio riservato. Se viaggi con una bici puoi concordare di portarla su con te. Bellissima esperienza!

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. However, there are no nets on the windows and there are mosquitoes during the night. So either you get used to the buzz sound in your ears or try to sleep with closed windows but its too hot having in mind that we were 10 people.

Really enjoyed my stay at OTH (pleasantly surprised). Only met nice travellers there and the staff was friendly + helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. It felt like home away from home! A basic breakfast (cereal, bread, spreads, eggs, coffee, tea, milk, juice...) and a lock if needed are included which is always a bonus! Best things are it's location near everything, especially the station useful for day trips, and the terraces everywhere! Including the nice and quiet central one with plenty of space perfect for chilling, eating, socializing... Come here if you can, thanks David and co!
