Riccardo Cooking Class - Pasta Class and Sauces

Riccardo was just amazing. We made four different pasta dishes- all incredibly delicious and so fun to make! Riccardo was charming, fun, and knowledgeable. You must book this class during your stay in Rome!

If you’ve found Riccardo’s cooking class, it is probably because you are looking for an authentic experience and not some generic class. Look no further! We booked this class because of the small size and mostly because of the menu variety. We learned 4 types of pastas AND 3 sauces. Not to mention dessert and a crash course in Italian wine. 6 of us all agreed that this was our favorite night of the whole trip to Rome. We laughed, we learned and we definitely ate! Riccardo is an excellent teacher and host. The class was easy to get to from the city center by bus. The bus stop is right outside of grandma’s door. Ring the buzzer marked Riccardo’s cooking class and let the experience begin!

Perfect blend of delicious food, knowledge, and fun. Highly recommend if you enjoy good food, wine, and cooking. Riccardo is very knowledgeable, patient, and funny. He’s organized and runs the class smoothly. Taking the class in his grandmother’s home adds a special touch. Great company and delicious food.

No need to search any further, Riccardo’s Cooking Class is top notch, from beginning to end!!! We are a family of four; two teenage daughters and my husband and I.We were welcomed into Riccardo’s grandmothers home, which he modified slightly, to make the cooking classroom. He was welcoming and easy to get to know, which we all enjoyed and felt very comfortable. Riccardo mixes laughter, jokes and fun into teaching others how to make the best pasta!Each completed dish was designed and created by us as he allows flexibility in what kind of food to use and they all tasted superb. Our kids dislike fish, so he offered different proteins and picked ones that are our favorites.I’m confident Riccardo sparked the art of cooking into my family and I’m thinking I might not be the only chef, when we return home to the US. I’ve been asked multiple times, if I can buy pasta making equipment for home!!Although I’ve always felt that preparing meals for my family is my love language, Riccardo taught me to put down the timer and “cook with LOVE”, which is a great reminder to slow down and enjoy the process…and don’t forget the WINE, which he paired perfectly to our cuisines!! SO SO amazing and fun.Truly the most best experience and one that our family will cherish for a lifetime!!!

Wow! Riccardo is no mere pasta chef. He's a force of nature, an artisan of Roman food, including of course, his delightfully hearty, flavorful and gorgeous flagship Roman pasta dishes.To enter his school is to enter his Nona's home, so right away, you're overcome with the warmth and hospitality one might likely find in the cozy home of a Roman family at dinner time.Riccardo serves white and red wine while you're preparing the dishes you'll soon eat together, and you'll even be assigned duties to perform, such as preparing ingredients, kneading dough, chopping pork, and on and on.Riccardo explains every step of the process, provides rich, colorful details about his cooking upbringing, as well as the importance of not too much of this, and not too little of that. You absolutely cannot mess your meal up! He won't allow his students to fail. So, even if your dough is too wet, or not wet enough, Riccardo will stand beside you to handhold.My group made three dishes, one of which was ravioli, and the other with two different pasta noodles: flat and round. The sauces were prepared by Riccardo, but again, he explained in real-time what he was doing with each turn of the ladle.You'll dine with your group and discuss the food, the wine and your life, which added to the rustic charm of the entire pasta-making experience. I strongly recommend this pasta class, not just for the education in authentic Roman pasta making, but as much for the old warm charm and character Riccardo makes the experience.

Riccardo's cooking class was one of the highlights of our Italy trip! All of the dishes we prepared were incredible, and the recipes were very easy for us to replicate back at home. But what really made the experience was Riccardo himself; he is passionate, personal and funny, and for the entire three hours, we felt like we were amongst friends. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Rome!

Las clases de Ricardo nos han encantado, además de aprender mucho sobre cocinar pasta y trucos.. ha sido una experiencia estupenda.Somos una familia con niños y el pequeño incluso se ha divertido y ha creado la pasta desde cero, mezclando, amasado y utilizando las máquinas de pasta.. lo hemos pasado genial, repetiría mil veces. Además de que Ricardo es un cocinero apasionado que explica muy bien, tiene mucha paciencia y es muy divertido, además decontrolar perfecto español.. Mis hijos ya quieren volver a cocinar pasta por ellos mismos! La clase es con pocas personas, eso te hace aprender de verdad y la compañía que tuvimos fue muy agradable también, eran dos mujeres americanas y Ricardo supo integrarnos a todos. Lo recomendamos 100%
