Muro di Sormano

1700 m di salita da fare in apnea. Un'attrazione irresistibile per chi è nato, come me, fra i saliscendi spesso ripidi delle colline toscane

I am not a cyclist, but this is still a great spot for picnics and fresh mountain spring water. The scenery is beautiful and the water is cold and refreshing. Definitely a spot to stop if you are in the area. We had the chance to walk this famous bike racing hill and it was super difficult. From the fountain it took roughly 30 minutes to walk/fast walk to the top. The climb is very steep at places, 25% grade. There are markings for the altitude painted on the road as well as some text. Be sure to bring some fresh and cold mountain water if walking to the top to enjoy a great view. If anyone is wondering, it's not possible to walk up this hill faster than someone driving up the road around the mountain to the top. Even though it's longer, and driving slowly it will still take 7 minutes, you'll have to wait about another 20 minutes for the walking party to summit near the restaurant at the top. We will test a race to the bottom next, possibly on push scooter coasting down faster than the car taking the long route along the road.

Lucky enough to climb Il Muro during the Gran Fondo Il Lombardia last year. Terrible weather, not even a glance of the scenery, however an awesome experience with all the markings on the road. Should be on the bucket list of any cyclist

Punto di valico di una bellissima strada piena di curve , da fare in moto,con in cima una vista mozzafiato da non perdere assolutamente.Facile tragitto ,idoneo anche per chi ha poca esperienza con le curve

Bello ed impegnativo !!! Ma tanta soddisfazione una volta giunti alla colma ! Da fare almeno una volta sia a piedi che in bicicletta!

Sembrava di essere nel bosco delle favole....

Ottimo posto per relax e grigliate, poche piazzole dedicate ma ben tenute e riservate. Temperatura perfetta essendo in zone montane, ma rimane sempre un luogo semplice da raggiungere.Consigliato attivare al mattino presto per poter trovare qualche posto libero ove poter grigliare in tranquillità.

Per chi è appassionato di ciclismo, da abbinare alla visita al Ghisallo ed ad un giro sul lago di Como.Scendete poi a all orrido di Nesso, che vale la pena di essere visto

Absolute beast of a climb, should be on every cyclist list of must do. Even if you think you can’t handle it.
