Mama Isa's Cooking School

Amazing experience! A unique experience to try with friends, family,couple,etc. Isa and Stefano were very welcoming and we felt comfortable right away. They really love what they are doing and want to share their passion with you. So nice to learn things you had no idea before! We started by making this fresh focaccia, then we had a cheese and salami plate and then our amazing ravioli! Everything was SO good! I never tried a focaccia that soft and flavored. The ravioli was perfect! Everything combined was amazing. This is an honest review. I don’t think my husband and I would’ve changed anything. Thank you mama Isa and Stefano.

Donna di grande spessore culturale, che sa' coniugare i saperi con i sapori.....Donna capace di trasformare ,come un cristallo cangiante e poliedrico nei suoi colori, tutto ciò che passa attraverso le sue mani, con l'incantevole magia di mantenere l' unicità di ogni ingrediente.. Tutto delicato e gustoso, raffinato e prelibato...Grande maestra dei saperi, capace di tuffarti nella storia dell' arte culinaria, con stupore ed interesse...per poi renderti protagonista nel fare! Isa and Stefano are knowledge, welcoming and wonderful people! This was my first trip to Italy and even though I was in an unfamiliar country, Isa and Stefano made my boyfriend and I feel like family. The pizza class experience was magical and we can’t stop talking about it! We are so looking forward to sharing and recreating these recipes with our friends and family when we return home. Wow! I could not rave about this experience any more! Isa and Stephan are wonderful, kind, and accommodating. The food we made was outstanding, my girlfriend even whispered to me while we were eating *I think this is the best pasta I've ever had

A well-rounded experience! We made pasta (fettuccini), sauce (arrabbiata), and classic tiramisu. Not only did we learn the importance of ingredients, but technique and cooking. Mama Isa is an excellent teacher—-tell, show, and let you practice. Gentle correction as needed and encouragement as well. She also knows food history and provides insightful background information.She also shared her sourdough bread made with her mother’s starter (70 year old starter!) and some marvelous wine (one was a sparkling Chardonnay!). The meal was delicious!The experience also lets you experience an Italian home, friendly conversation, and exposure to the city of Padova (Padua). We enjoyed walking to the Basilica of St Anthony from her place as well as the Botanic Gardens.Mama Isa, her husband, and her son were warm and hospitable. The entire experience was perfect for us! We were staying on a cruise ship in Fusina but her directions were detailed and we got to Padua no problem. It was worth the trip plus it made us feel like accomplished Italian travelers using people mover, train, and taxi!My advice: take Mama Isa’s Cooking class!!!! She is the real deal.

Mama Isa and her husband, Stefano, were both so kind and welcoming to us! We had an amazing session with Mama Isa where she taught us how to prepare tagliatelle egg pasta with a lemon cream sauce, which was absolutely delicious. Mama Isa was so knowledgable and taught us helpful tips and tricks about cooking traditional Italian pasta along the way. We also had great wine and an appetizer of meats & cheeses with fresh focaccia. Most amazing of all is that on our way out, Mama Isa said that she and Stefano would be available for us if we were to have an emergency on our trip to Italy. This was so touching and genuine - we really felt like family after 2 hours - the true Italian way! We will remember the class forever, thank you, Mama Isa!

I came to Italy from the United States and one of my big hopes was to be able to take a cooking class to learn really good Italian sauces and dishes. We found Mama Isa’s cooking class and it was more than I ever could’ve imagined! The recipes were easy to follow, the ingredients were high quality, everything was very thorough and the hospitality was like no other!We made marinara sauce, bolognese, carbonara, béchamel and pasta al forno with wine and homemade limoncello. I had such a great time and it was one of the big highlights of my trip! If I ever go back to that part of Italy- I will definitely go back for another class. I loved it!!Cheers!

I and my partner have booked vegetarian cooking class with Chef Isa Mama and had the BEST time :). Both Chef Isa and her husband Stefano were wonderful! They were very kind and it was a professional setting, and we learned so much about Italian cuisine and history around it. The Tagliatelle pasta,Tiramisu and Focaccia sourdough bread we have learned were excellent and the recipe sent was very elaborate! This experience was one of our highlights of our trip.Highly recommend

my husband and i celebrated our one year anniversary by visiting Italy and we knew we absolutely wanted to learn how to make fresh pasta. i am so glad that i found Mama Isa's Cooking School. first off, her website is so informative with lots of excellent reviews and helpful information. she offers so many different options in terms of your cooking class so that you can have the best and most tailored experience. she is very quick to reply to emails and provides lots of details and instructions on how to book the class and also how to get to her apartment from wherever you are staying. we booked our class for a Wednesday and we were lucky enough that it ended up being just us two; so we had a private and very personal experience with Chef Isa. Her and her husband, Stefano, are so sweet & welcoming... by the end of the class, we felt like family! Chef Isa taught us how to make delicious fresh pasta & sauce. and she even had some focaccia dough prepped for us to put some toppings on, bake and enjoy as a little appetizer! while we were cooking, Chef Isa taught us a lot of history about Italy and Italian food, which was so fun to learn. if you are looking for something to do around Venice or want to enjoy an amazing cooking class, i highly recommend Mama Isa's Cooking School! grazie mille Chef Isa! - Eva & Justin
