Hotel Villa Cheli

I was very excited to stay in this hotel, when I saw the photos. The garden and the territory of the hotel looked great, the pool is nice, but inside it was outdated. Electricity was turned off couple of times, the shower was very small, the decor of the room was much simpler than on the photos. The breakfast was quite nice. Lucca city is very close to get by car. The check out is way too early, but we were kindly allowed to check out 30 min later. I think the price is way too high for quality you get.

Ho dormito una notte con un gruppo. Buona struttura, personale disponibile e molto gentile. Si mangia molto bene . Scenografica entrata su vialone con cipressi.

Ci vado spesso per ragioni di lavoro ed ogni volta è sempre un piacere. Stanze pulite, colazione abbondante e personale molto attento gentile e disponibile. A disposizione della clientela una piscina che nel periodo estivo ti chiama" per un tuffo rilassante!"

Location non c'è nulla da dire, però avendo pagato 170 € un pernotto con colazione ( prezzo giusto) ma non giustifica lavandino del bagno scheggiato, ragnatela sulla porta del bagno ad altezza 2 mt, luci sul soffitto lungo le travi a LED colorati effetto discoteca, odore di vecchio in camera, e reparto freezer non funzionante.Colazione a buffet un pò misera. C'è di meglio meglio ma anche di peggio.

My sister and I stayed here, and, in fact, are still here until Saturday morning (6 days). This is an underrated hotel. It is so awesome and wonderful. The staff are so friendly and feel like family. The food is great and the location is ideal. We have driven all over to see much of Italy from this location. I am definitely coming back to this hotel on my next trip, and I will be recommending it to everyone.

Nice looking place and we were really excited to stay here unfortunately we won't return after our experienceCons:-Resteraunt was overpriced for the quality of food that was served. Whilst we dined there atleast 3 other tables had sent food back to the chef.-Most staff were unfriendly-if you're looking for a quiet getaway this is not the place for you. They held functions during the week during our stay that was so loud at night time we couldn't sleep until they had finished after 1am! They also allow tour groups to stay and they were partying on the alfresco until early hours of the morning too-aircon does not workPros-bus stop out the front of the property but buses are not too regular-nice pool area (not heated)

Hotel Villa Cheli is an older hotel (early 1800's) that has a distinctive old tuscan charm and is nicely situated a couple kilometers outside the Lucca city walls. The views of the hills are nice. However, there is a reason for the low price. The hotel is somewhat worn and the rooms are larger, but dated furniture and appearances. The restaurant is average at best and seriously overpriced. No fruit at breakfast....?AND we rented two rooms and neither one has a working air conditioner. In fact, the AC units are so old and worn they will never work properly and are way past replacement time. When I turned on the unit in my room, I got a big slug of dust, but no cool air. Evidence these have not worked for some time. If the management claims they have working AC's make them send you a picture and see for yourself. In late May, 2023 the weather here has not reached those mid summer temperatures that are really hot, so this is a minor inconvenience. But if you come in peak summer, you will likely be very uncomfortably hot. I will not stay here again until they get new AC units.

It was a nice stay, albeit expensive for the quality. The breakfast was very limited and only until 10. Checkout was until 10 as well, although they gave us until a bit after 11 to check out. We were there for a wedding and music was only allowed until 12.The keys for the room were huge and unpractical, a card system would be a great improvement. Airco was to close to the bed and windows couldn't properly be opened.
