We arrived to a half empty restaurant, and yet we needed reservations (its stayed empty throughout the night). we were seated outdoors in the beautiful patio garden and waited for over 40 minutes to receive the menus. We were clearly ignored. The restaurant offered an English written menu, a real plus for hungry people (it was almost 2230) and a wonderful wine list. The menu offered Lecce dishes and some unique specials. The waiter tried to push on us the fresh fish of the day, boringly prepared at gouging prices, and made us wonder whether the fish dishes that were offered on the menu, at 1/4 (or less) of the cost, were spoiled ;). The food was top shelf. We loved the ricotta sofle and the oricceta with tomatoes in anchovies sauce. The potatoes encased bass was good too. We were very disappointed with the dessert. It was not fresh. Skip the dessert and go elsewhere for ice-cream. Overall, it's a recommended restaurant for the menu dishes (but not for the dolce) and for its wonderful ambience.

We should have recognised that an empty restaurant is generally a red flag, but when hungry, sometimes these warning signals go ignored. While the garden was lovely, the rest of our experience was not. The waiter was abrupt, the food took close to 75 minutes to be served food (we had to ask for bread), and the meal was disappointing. For example, the tuna steak was tough and dry and the risotto was essentially bland seafood broth poured over white rice. After a series of fantastic restaurants and meal experiences in Puglia, this was by far a wake up call to do some due diligence before committing to what is likely our most expensive meal.

Adesso questo posto è discreto,prima,quando c'era il cuoco Stefano era il gusto immenso (stiamo parlando di 3-4 anni fa) peccato...

Ambiente molto raffinato, un ottima scelta di vini e sapori, ho mangiato molto bene ed i prezzi sono giusti! Sicuramente ci ritornerò!!!
