Venice Italian School

On the first day of the course I said “I’ve ruined Venice”!!! - by the end of the week I had it as the highlight of our trip!I was excited to be booked into this school for a week of language classes with my husband. Diego(director) communicated frequently before and during our classes and designed a challenging but personally tailored course for us. He arranged a great social evening for us to meet the other students and took us all on a local walking tour one evening. Our very small group of 3 was perfect for conversation and plenty of laughs.From the first class we were immersed in the language and this really does work!Thank you to all of our teachers. They are fantastic.We would highly recommend this school and hope to return one day.

Excellent teachers all around. Unquestionably the best language school in Venice, and I have tried two others. I took a 6-week course here, and each day of it was fun and full of learning. Highest recommendation.

Die 2 Wochen an der Venice italien School im Oktober diese Jahres, waren für mich eine sehr positive Erfahrung .Diego und das ganze Lehrerteam unterrichten hochprofessionel und zielgerichtet, mit grossem Engagement und Herzblut. Auf jeden Schüler wird optimal eingegangen. Die Atmosphäre im Klassenzimmer ist entspannt und fröhlich, so dass Lernen wirklich Spass macht. Ich kann diese Schule wärmstens empfehlen. Von den 3 bisher in Italien besuchten Schulen ist sie die Beste!Sehr gerne würde ich wieder kommen.Margrit (Schweiz)

Ich habe eine Woche in Venedig verbracht und in der Venice Italian School einen wundervollen Platz gefunden, um Italienisch zu lernen. Die Lehrer/innen sind sehr kompetent und hilfsbereit und die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm und lustig. Vielen Dank an Diego und sein tolles Team!!!

Excellent Italian school, it concentrates on spoken language fluency with total immersionand pronunciation which is what I needed, small group of 4 we were all at about the same level which I appreciated because I had already been taking Italian once a week for 3 years. Additionally they helped me find an excellent bnb where the host also helped as I insisted on not using English.Highly recommend and of course being in Venice is also wonderful.

Nel settembre 2022 sono arrivata alla scuola con un livello da principiante. Ho passato 5 settimane a Venezia frequentando il corso di gruppo al mattino e rinforzando con lezioni private di 1,5 ore al pomeriggio. Quando sono tornata nel mio Paese ero in grado di comunicare in italiano, oralmente e per iscritto, e ciò è stato di grande aiuto per il mio lavoro. Ho trovato il perfetto equilibrio tra teoria e pratica. È stata la migliore esperienza di apprendimento perché ho avuto la fortuna di essere nelle mani di veri professionisti dell'insegnamento. Tutti gli insegnanti con cui ho lavorato hanno avuto la capacità e l'abilità di farmi amare non solo la lingua italiana, ma anche la cultura, il cibo e la vita di questo Paese.Per non perdere il ritmo e rimanere in contatto con la lingua italiana, seguo i corsi on-line della scuola. Presto tornerò alla scuola per un altro corso. Senza dubbio, è la migliore opzione a Venezia.

I recently took Italian classes at the Venetian Italian School and I definitely had a 5 star experience. I was only there for a short week, but the learning opportunity at the school means that I will definitely return. With only 1 years’ experience studying Italian in Ireland, I really appreciated the boost I got at the school, particularly invaluable tips from school director Diego on how to improve my pronunciation. I could see immediate benefit in the following days as I tried some phrases in restaurants and shops.The Italian classes each morning were excellent, with a variety of teachers to help keep energy and focus high. I felt challenged but I was able to keep up. which was the ideal combination for me.Diego, Michaela, Marco and Lucia created an informal atmosphere which really helped me learn. The lessons were very well structured with lots of time to practice in class. Learning was consolidated with handouts on each topic. The small class size (6 maximum) allowed the teachers understand each person’s individual requirements and tailor the classes accordingly. And there were lots of laughs too!The Venetian Italian school offers much more than a fantastic learning experience. The school takes you to the district of Santa Croce, a beautiful residential area that you may not otherwise discover. This truly helps you experience Venice “like a Venetian*. A local walking tour with Diego one afternoon taught me so much about the history of the area. As well as tips for the best ice-cream, the best views, the best local campos, etc.The area is a short walk from Santa Lucia Train Station, Piazzale Roma, the vibrant bustling Grande Canale and the beautiful Ponte degli Scalzi. Crossing this bridge brings you to Cannaregio, an area that was worth many visits.The friendly school atmosphere helps the students get to know each other and I know I was not the first person to make a great friend from another country during my short stay.We both learned so much that we plan to continue online classes together with Diego, to ‘maintain’ our levels before we can return.The Venetian Italian School certainly was a 5-star experience for me.

Venice Italian School offre un servizio molto personale ma anche professionale. Le lezioni sono veramente attraenti e interessanti. L'insegnamento è sempre molto pratico e si dà molta importanza alla lingua parlata. Sicuramente l'ottima scuola a Venezia!

I am so grateful I found this school when I was in Venice. My tutor, Enrica, is great. She is extremely kind and approachable. She structures the class so we are learning and getting to know each other at the same time. I definitely learned first hand you need to put the time in outside of class as well. She provides a weekly homework assignment to help me stay on track which has been helpful. Diego has been accommodating since I first met him. I reside in Pennsylvania and they were willing to work with me regardless of the time difference. They respond quickly to any concerns/questions and their kindness is unmatched. Definitely Recommend!!!
