I never write reviews, but I had to take the time to write one for the incredible food, staff & atmosphere at Il Buco.From the moment we sat down, the service was incredible. They have several staff members roaming who are incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the whole menu.We got the fish tasting menu for 130 euros and it was worth every bit.Will definitely be back & sending this recommendation to my friends visiting. It is apparent that they have earned their Michelin Star.

If you're in Sorrento and looking for a special meal, I would definitely get a reservation here. There were far fewer patrons here and it was a much needed reprieve from the chaos of Sorrento. It was quote relaxing and tranquil.We accidentally stumbled upon Il Buco and decided to make a reservation. The tasting menu (we did the I Trust You) was absolutely worth it and quite fun!

We absolutely loved our experience at Il Buco. Such a treat for my birthday, we went with the “Land and Territory” tasting menu and pairing wines. Each course was wonderful and Giovanni was an amazing and informative sommelier. All the staff were so friendly. Would highly recommend for a special night out.

I went there on Apr 16 with fellow hikers. We were hiking in Amalfi and Greece for two weeks. This was one of my two best dining experiences on this trip. The food was super delicious and everything looked like an art. Our head server worked in the restaurant for 18 years, the service was impeccable. We got meet the chef, kitchen stuff and visited the impressive wine cellar.

The service was great, everyone was really attentive. Even though we did have to pour our own wine. The downfall comes with the food. It was truly just average- dont get me wrong they plate beautifully. For the cost we experienced nothing truly magical. The tasting menu does take around 3 hours and is strictly sea. I love seafood, although everything was overwhelmingly fishy...& wouldn't trcommend, I can't say that I'd want to return here. If you really like to try some things the octopus & beef cheek was cooked well. I wish I could say more positive things as I was looking forward to trying this restaurant... it's just not it.

One of our highlights while in Sorrento. Fantastic dining experience with great food, great service which all made for a wonderful evening in Sorrento. The wine selection (+1,000) was amazing. Make sure you get a reservation as can be busy. The restaurant is located in an old monastery which makes for amazing ambience.

We came here to celebrate our honeymoon and while the atmosphere and service were outstanding we found the food a bit underwhelming unfortunately. We both did the sea tasting menu. Presentation was good but in terms of taste most dishes were just “okay”. The first few actually lacked salt which we found surprising for a restaurant of this calibre. I’m not sure we got great value out of this dinner but it was nice to get away from the chaos and crowds of Sorrento for an evening.

A highlight of our trip to Sorrento. We enjoyed the expertly curated and perfectly executed tasting menu, accompanied by wines that complemented every dish. The atmosphere is pure refined elegance, but not at all stuffy. The waiters were knowledgeable and attentive. And one of the best dry martinis I've ever had.
