Situato all’interno del Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte, sulla terrazza più bella dellaVersilia. Tutte e due meritate le stelle conquistate dallo chef Giuseppe Mancino: autore di una cucina che emoziona e che si fa ricordare e che spazia dalla carne al pesce, dal fusion alla traduzione rivisitata con prodotti del territorio e non solo.Servizio attento e professionale.Ambiente arredato in stile marinaro chic, con tanto bianco e un tocco di blu, con vista mozzafiato che parte dalle Alpi Apuane fino al mare.Ottima anche la proposta dei vini con particolare attenzione a quelli toscani e agli champagne.

I want to start this review off by saying the service here was out of this world. Every one of my servers were amazing, kind, and knowledgeable. However, as far as the food goes it’s was the worst dinner I have ever had in my life. My wife and I choose a few things from the different tasting menus and every single thing was horrible and the pairings were atrocious. There were a few good small deserts that were given by the chef however even most of them were awful. It was so bad that ten minutes after dinner on our way back to our hotel my wife and I had to pull over multiple times because we got so sick from the food. Very disappointing especially considering it’s a 2 Michelin 500 euro dinner.

Smart and fine restaurant. The chef is from the South of Italy, so he mixes very well its origins with the tuscanian cuisine. The dishes are good, but the pigeon is extraordinary. The personnel is very nice and welcomes you in a very romantic atmosphere.

My wife and I love a special meal out and in San Francisco we'll try the newest Michelin star restaurants so while on vacation in Italy it occurred to me that we should try one in Italy. We selected Ristorante Il Piccolo Principe because of it's picturesque location in Viareggio and they have TWO Michelin stars. The photos on their website are magnificent but when we arrived it was so windy and being on the rooftop they used a massive tent to block the wind. While we welcome the protection, it really hurts the views. While discouraged to two different tastings, we forged forward and requested one seafood tasting (my wife) and one meat tasting (me). While the menu indicates 6-courses for each tasting, I promise it was many more.Seafood:CRISPY RED MULLETCANDIED CODFISHGRAGNANO’S CALAMARATARICE FLOUR RAVIOLI STUFFEDCOAL ROASTED AMBERJACKTHINKING ABOUT TARTE AU CITRONMeat:CRISPY EGGSMOKED “TUSCAN SUSHI” BEEF TARTAREOUR “GREEN RISOTTO”AGNOLOTTIDUCK WITH TAMARINDHAVANA SPECIALWe were started with 3 amuse bouche as gifts from the chef and then the courses began. Classic plating and visually very well presented. We start off thinking This will never be enough food" but by the end we are limping thru the main entrees. The tastes are bright and perfectly executed by Chef Mancino. However

Chi mi segue sa che io non sono amante della cucina Michelin, ovvero, non è la mia priorità, e li mangio solo se proprio capita. O meglio non mi fisso delle stelle. Anzi onestamente avrei anche qualche pregiudizioInvece questo ristorante mi ha colpito proprio il contrario del concetto di Michelin che loro offrono insieme ai piatti squisiti, che sarebbe approccio più vicino al cliente, più umano, più semplice, diciamo più chiacchierone ma proprio questa la non formalità mi ha fatto provare una nuova esperienza, perché prima di tutto oltre a raccontare i piatti puoi anche fare qualche chiacchiera e poi chiedere informazioni sia ai camerieri Istruiti bene e anche al sommelier, anche lui preparatissimo. Siccome eravamo per lavoro non potevamo prendere due porzioni, perché sarebbe veramente troppo invece abbiamo diviso un menu, anche questa è una cosa assolutamente diversa dal concetto Michelin, che ti permettono di mangiare più a tuo agio Anche parlando in termini di quantità. Era un menu bello grande e ci è piaciuto tanto condividere questa esperienza in due. Insomma è da provare perché tutto sommato mangi e ti sazia anche
