Giuseppe Sorbello is amazing! I contacted Giuseppe through the Sicilian Ancestry form and provided the information I had about a dead-end that we believed traced back to Sicily. The website alone is very impressive, and Giuseppe is very clear that he will not charge you if the work cannot be completed. Giuseppe sent a very nice email sharing the research he found- a marriage record we had never located! This record showed the the previously dead-end ancestors were from Sardinia and Torino, not Sicily, as the family believed. Giuseppe gave us the wonderful gift of a scan of this document and helpful tips about the local resources from those areas. Our experience with Giuseppe was professional and valuable. We needed birth certificates for my wife's grandparents for proof of her Italian citizenship. I just wanted to take a moment and say that contacting Sicilian Ancestry was one of the best things I could've done. I had been trying to piece my wife's family history together with little luck. That was not until I spoke with Giuseppe at Sicilian Ancestry and after some back and forth broke open my case and went back four generations. Giuseppe's work and dedication to my project has been nothing short of excellence. Guiseppe is easy to work with and very responsive. I was so impressed he was able to find my great grandmother even though I gave him her Americanized name (the name we knew her by) not her birth name. Guiseppe was able to confirm she changed her birth name when she got married and was able to trace her ancestors. Because of his findings, we have two street names where my great grandparents were born and three churches where my ancestors were baptized to visit when we are in Sicily. Overall, we are very pleased with the results.

My grandparents were born in a town in Sicily where everyone has the same last name. After locating the correct people and identifying the paperwork Sicilian Ancestry ordered the papers for me. After a few months when the legal office said they had sent the papers more than once Sicilian Ancestry took it upon themselves to go all the way to the office and physically obtain the papers themselves.
